I dismantled my XFX GTX260 last time the first thing I got home because I wanted to see how it looks like and replaced the thermal compound smile.gif It's very straight forward because the screws are all the same except for a few in the middle.

Will pulling out the heatsink damage the RAMs? Its got thermal stickers over them sweat.gif I also wanted to change the TIM but when I saw all the stickers between them I sweat.gif

those thermal pad on ram chip ? if its a new card its easy to remove, they havent melt ( dunno what terms to use ) so when u remove the cooler, they are in pieces (solid form). After you used the card for a period, dont think its easy to remove, those thermal pad easily stick to the ram and will split apart when u dismount the cooler.

LOL! I guess I have to remove them while they are still fresh? All right, do it after I take my shower XD Thanks for the info.
