my Vantage crashed half way thru the test just now.will post up the ss once benchmark is done

This means that ur current OCed clock is not stable.

did the graphic test and the result is horrendous ,i think it might be due to the heat problem,because my comp restarted just now.i have to keep to my factory settings now and slowly go up againt.

finally did a solid stable clock for my 260

shit, and to think i just sold away a gem

wait i go korek SS and scores, mine was at 660 core, 1.6k shader, 2.6k mems

1.6k shader and 2.6k mems .waiting for ur ss and benchies

increased the mem to 1151.i guess i cant go more with my core and shader ,i tried increasing my core to 690 and shader to 1482 and theres strange pixels appearing in my benchies and causing them to crash .so i decide to down them to 687/1479,and concentrate on the mem.so far so good hoping to go higher on mem.

btw i use 3dmark vantage and DMC4 performance test as my bench.

thats kindda low for ure amp2 TS

the ones i sold were doing 712/1512/1248 a breeze.. on sli..

yeah i have read about many going more thn 700 on core.but cant figure out why mine cant .tested with 695 and strange artifacts start to appear.u overclock with rivatuner?

did some searching and found a guy who overclocked his GTX260 192 to 795 on core .

there is software called RBE bios editor that can custom edit and make ATI bios.. but dont know bout nvidia.. anyone?

there is one and its called NiBitor.

so.. basically you dump the original bios and edit it via the program..

wich means the program it self will give description on what to do??

or i have to hex code my self wich i don't know anything about

Just bought this baby yesterday at ALL IT hypermarket
I manage to bargain it from 1499 to 1430..



The interesting bit is i manage to overclock this to 702/2646/1584. That's the exact same specs as
the EVGA SSC edition.
Have been running atitool artifact scan and it's error free for 7 hours
however fan speed at 70% with temp at 75C. Will try for lower fan speed.

I upgraded from 8800GT and noticed a tremendous difference.
So far, i've tried crysis warhead with enthusiast setting, 2x AA at 1900x1200 and it's flawless. Don't know the exact FPS
but there wasn't a lag at all
Also tried GTA IV, with highest texture and detail, view distance 30/60 and it's flawless too.
but anymore view distance and it crawls.


One thing i noticed is the high pitch sound it makes when i run the card full load.
when running atitool there's a high pitch sound but none at gaming.
It squeals when i run crysis but only for 10mins or so.
Read on some sites that GT200 tend to do that and it's normal.
I'm considering exchanging it....should i?

try increasing ur fan speed straight to 100%,wont do much harm except for the noise.

what is the high pitch sound u referring to?i so far heard none using my 260

i can't run atitool on my pc for some strange reasons.it says the gc i selected is not connected to monitor

hehe..that's odd
just found out something odd is whenever i am the menu screen of crysis warhead the sound happens but not during in-game
oh well, overall, i'm actually very happy with this card...haven't tried pushing it further as it's eating up all the games i'm throwing at it with
the current settings
will try and post some benchies later

not yet bro no time last nite only went for a default speed test run....

set the fan to 55% only the fan already humming.... and this is done with open side panel....

i've tried 700 core and 1400 shader.

i remember that cstkl1 post about this card have a 1:2 ratio but i cant find it now.

For our cards, the card's ratio should be 2.15x.

If 1:2, guess we should unlinked them.

guys i see that this beta driver really have the upper hand in fps from the whql driver...

flash back the gc bios.

1st take out the bios inside the gc using Nibitor then tweak the 3d clock to the stable clock that the gc can use and flash it back using nvflash on a bootable usb drive.

when u run the 3dmark dont set the reso to the same reso as ur gaming reso.

run it at default setting and see how much u can get.

i tried it once and felt like a hero after that.

a bios flash wun fail randomly rite?it will past like 70%? most of the time.unless u rly suay.

i've flash my card 2 times,both is to tweak the voltage

usually it fail bcoz of the new bios setting not the flashing itself unless when u flashing then a blackout happen.

sometimes u set the boot clock too low or the idle clock to low or mess with the voltage too much only then the flashing fail.

meaning that the setting that make the wouldnt start.

b4 tht i tried with 720/1130/1440 but it seems like my card was struggling to pass the test .black patches start appearing randomly in the test and sumtimes the test will like hang a bit
