The following methods show you how to import a chinese audibles (HK, TW or CN) into your English version of Yahoo! Messenger. This method is created for those who want to have the chinese Audibles list in their English interface YM.

Steps:

1.
Install an English copy of YM into your computer at default path. (e.g c:\program files\Yahoo!\Messenger)

2.
Install a HK/TW/CN version of YM (only choose 1, HK version is highly recommended) into your computer at different path. (e.g c:\program files\Yahoo!\MessengerHK)

p/s: The installation process is in chinese word, sometimes the words may not be readable if you don't use chinese windows or don't enable the chinese unicode language settings. Don't worry. Pls uncheck all installation options available. You need to install the messenger only.

3.
Open your HK/TW/CN version of YM, login with your account. Then send one audible to any of your friend. Then, sign out the YM.

4.
Go to the HK/TW/CN version of YM "cache" directory in the installation directory (e.g c:\program files\Yahoo!\MessengerHK\cache). Choose the "audiblemenu.xml" file.

5.
Copy the "audiblemenu.xml" file to the "cache" directory in the "English" YM installation directory (e.g c:\program files\Yahoo!\Messenger\cache) .

6.
Now, you may run the English YM and test for your Audibles.

Notes:
1. HK version of YM is recomended in this integration because it includes the HK, TW and English version of audibles.

If anyone had any method better than mine, please share together. Thank you and enjoy. smile.gif

The screenshoot after integration (English YM interface with HK,TW and English Audibles). You may see many question marks for English windows or without chinese unicode enable windows. smile.gif

i have tried this b4 but failed. The audiblemenu.xml file has its own signature. Cannot change it directly.

ok, i got another way to get chinese audible.
Install HK/TW/CN yahoo messenger, copy the file res_msgr.dll from english yahoo messenger(from your friend or you install it first). Paste the file into HK/TW/CN yahoo messenger folder. Your HK/TW/CN will show english right now.

Your English audibles will still remain there. They are available in one of the "???" menu.

i have done it in more easy way.. the thg is still same..
the based is english version.. but run all the radio/chat room/audibles in HK/TW/other version...

install HK/TW version... and then copy out a folder named "cache" to desktop from installed directory..
so now install ur english version..

after tat.. paste back the "cache" folder into the installed directory...
rmb to close ur YM when doing tat...
tat's all...

i think the method is same lor...

u will change back to english version of audibles.. not sure when it will changed back.. cuz YM is web based rite?.. so everytime downloading the xml from web.. everythg will change back..

just backup ur "cache".. paste it back.. everytime ur YM audibles back to English version...

i tried to edit the xml files to chinese version 1.. but not working.. anyone can explain to me?
