call the insurance company hotline.
or, if at plus, call plus hotline.
the most important thing is, dont listen to all the tow truck that is available.
and, if u had none of the above choice, if you agree to the tow truck driver, then u must insist that they tow your truck to your car service centre...
eg: your car is proton, then sent it to proton service centre.

that is my opinion... correct me if i'm wrong.

Sign up with Automobile Association of Malaysia and let them handle it.
even better if your insurance says they don't provide breakdown service.
usually, the AAM guys are better trained smile.gif

worst case scenario, always have the tow truck to tow ur car to ur regular workshop, no matter how much they cost.
because we'll nvr know wut will happen if u let ur car to be sent to a 'stranger' workshop...

it happened to my friend where the workshop said that the coolant from radiator already leaks to the engine n the engine need to be overhauled...
the truth is, the problem were on the radiator and water pump....

thank god he called his father n his father asked him to get the tow truck to send the car to their regular workshop... even the tow truck charge rm300 from seremban to setapak, he saved alot coz the engine nvr need an overhaul....

Thats why TV also get advertised, whenever need to go outstation, check your car first.

1. Battery
2. Spark plugs
3. Engine oil enough or not.
4. Tools to change tyres and spare tyre in good condition
5. Bring along 1~2 bottles of mineral water along just incase of overheating.
6. Brakes

If you are a frequent outstation travellers, you will service your car regularly which wouldnt cause any problem at all. Those who didnt, check the service status lor especially brakes, battery, spare tyres, engine oil/transmission oil level and radiator water level. If these are okay, shouldnt cause many problem.

Just dont panic.

I have a solution that would solve your problem. It costs you only Rm140.00 a year. After that, it won't cost you a sen to tow your car from Bkt Kayu Hitam to Johor Bahru, if it breaks down, for a period of one year! And there are a whole lot of other accompanying benefits.

The to & fro toll charges alone will cost Rm422.80 (Rm211.20 x 2 for carrier tow-truck).
The total to & fro distance is 1,664 km (832km x 2). At a conservative Rm1.50 / km rate, this would cost Rm2.496.00.
A total cost of Rm2,918.80.

Should this happen to your car, your total savings would be Rm2,778.80. All for the cost of only Rm140.00 a year.
Anybody interested?
