The engine warning yellow light indicator is on on my Myvi 1.0 this morning but everything seemed normal. No power loss, no rattles or funny sound that I notice from the engine.

But I don't know how to check. The engine warning light sometimes off a few moment then on again. What seemed to be the problem?

maybe one of your sensors went haywire...go to any service centre for them to run a diagnostic with their handheld cpu then they would let u know...

I am against that kind of suggestion before you send it to the service centre.

By doing so, you are worsening the situation.

That is only done by unethical, Proton Service centre technicians.

What are the side effects of doing that? Voiding warranty? Corrupting ECU if its possible?

problem is once the battery is unplugged, all the data stored will be lost and u wont know what caused the indicator to light up

Does the engine dies off by itself? My 1.3GLi Wira is having this problem too and when the engine light comes one, the engine dies off by itself.

You should get it check at the service center ASAP before it gets worse... If they can't determine what is wrong, probably you will have to leave your car with them as they will send it back to the plant in Serendah laugh.gif
