Doesn't matter if it's ciplak or what. As long as you can play... It will be better if you can get use to any kinds of guitar...

Hmm, there's a word for 'thick skin' rite? mind to enlighten me? hmm.gif
Well as i'm a beginner, i've tried to 'feel' and touch acoustic, classical and electric~
For me, the steel string of acoustic and electric hurts, while classical, it's better. smile.gif
And my personal preference is classical because of the wider fretboard, i tend to make less mistake.

the "thick skin" is called callous...it's good to build them up i think..

imho, both classical or acoustic is good to begin with...basically you're starting from zero, so picking either way takes the same amount of effort....

Check out yamaha classical guitar C40, awesome sound for a guitar rm300+.
Or you can try Valencia classical guitar, not bad though.

Actually you can do that in acoustic also.

To me there's not many difference between acoustic and classical. It all boils down to which you like most.

Trust me, you'll grow 'thick skin' even if you're playing classical.

I totally agree. It really depends on what kinda sound u like.

As for classical being easier for beginners is not true, an acoustic with light gauged strings and low action is easier to play than a classical with little to no compensation for sound quality being lost.

The only downside with the classical i can think of is the tap harmonics, too soft, not very suitable for tapping harmonics.
