Hi stringfellow,
From your post..i observed some good idea or reason for me to get...
1) U mean the Rolly will act as a MP3 player with speakers?
2) Will the Rolly automatic "roll" back to the cradle to charge like Sony Aibo?
3) What are the differences between yours Rolly and the one I posted up?
From
Sony Spore it stated Asian..means is customize to Asian copy is that so?
Okie, let say i do not want my Rolly to "dance" instead of becoming my standalone speakers *portable* like those Bose/B&W/JBL is this possible? While playing music in stationary mode will the Rolly shows multi ambient light (like the
Philips Living Colour Light?)
Wow brother, u really addicted to technologies ya~ never stop searching for new excitements

another 2 more haha can they talk to each other " communicate with RF environment"

well, like playing football or dancing in the table haha
Nevertheless....Sony is pushing hard on the sales....promotion period from
30th Dec --9 of Jan 09 with Free Carrying case and Charging Cradle that’s all...
Btw, do u enjoy your little Rolly?

Thanks

To answer your questions:-
1. Yes, the Rolly is an MP3 player with speakers, it is just that there aren't any screen to select your songs. To go to the next song in the list, you need to rotate the lower roller anti-clockwise, and to revert to the previous song, you roll it the other way. To increase volume, you roll the upper roller anticlockwise to the desired volume.
2. no lah, Rolly wont be able to roll back into the cradle automatically, you need to place it there.
3. Probably in language selection, and the storage size. Yours should be the 2GB version, mine is just 1GB. Remember, I dont store the songs inside the Rolly, I stream them from my 16GB Sony Walkman.
To make the Rolly "dance", tap the top button while the music is playing. The music will stop, and restart with the "dance" routine preprogrammed form that song. Otherwise, it will just do its basic dance routine. While in its cradle, the ring of light will change to its multicolor configurations. Awesome in the dark!

My Rolly is part of my living room now already. You can say it is part of my morning wake up routine, take my coffee, and have my breakfast, and listen to my Rolly while reading the morning papers.
