Description
Players slip into the role of Konami hero Solid Snake and set out on a government mission to regain control of a secret nuclear weapons base from terrorists' hands. On his quest, Snake must rely heavily on stealth to avoid being seen, but he also has more than 30 different weapons and 20 different items and gadgets at his disposal, such as night vision goggles, minesweepers, explosives, gas masks, and more. An enemy radar display at the top of the screen helps pinpoint the locations of the opposing forces, both human and mechanical. Designed by Hideo Kojima. PSOne Saiyuki Journey west

Description
It's a long way to India, but you'll stop at nothing to get there in order to please Lady Kannon, one of six guardians of heaven. As Sanzo, a young monk at a small Buddhist temple in China, you'll travel through lush, 3D worlds in an attempt to round up the five remaining guardians and deliver them all to the Thunder Temple of India. This won't be so easy, as there will be dozens of detractors and obstacles along the way. You'll enlist the help of such as Son Goku, the monkey king, and others each of who has unique abilities and weapons. The real draw to this involving strategy game is its far-reaching story, which uses incredibly realistic dialogue and plot points to weave its complex web. There are plenty of battles taking place on the game's 3D maps, while creative power-ups and assignments will give you added strength and magical properties. With gorgeous backgrounds spanning the wilderness of the ancient East, this is a detailed game that should appeal to any gamer who doesn't mind investing some time in the experience.

Description
Link, a young man raised as a wrangler in a small, rural village, is ordered by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit. He sets off, oblivious to the dark fate that has descended upon the kingdom. PS 2 Shinning Force NEO

Description
PS2 reincarnation of Sega's famed Shining Force, which released on the Genesis in 1992 and spawned nearly 12 sequels, prequels, and sidesteps, including this one. This is an an original title under Amusement Vision's game producer Youichi Shimosato. This time, Shining Force takes the form of a real time action-RPG. You team up with two other characters to save the world from a dark group called the Tsuki no Kenzoku, adventuring through the world and taking out all the beasts that you encounter. Making use of a Force Frame system, you build up Max, the game's main character, into a super warrior, upgrading him in such areas as HP, attack strength and magic strength. To deliver it's deep storyline, the game makes use of full voice and occasional anime movies.

Description
PHANTOM BRAVE by Atlas USA is a quirky strategy RPG for the PS2 centered around Marona, a young girl who can see spirits. This isn't all it's cracked up to be, though; she's been exiled from her town for being possessed. So, with her dead, invisible guardian Ash by her side, she sets out to make some money as a mercenary and, as usual, gets swept up in a quest much bigger than she ever imagined. The battles in PHANTOM BRAVE involve you moving your army across the field to do battle. Turns are decided by stats, meaning some characters will get to attack more often. PHANTOM BRAVE throws out the conventional character recruitment system, however. Instead, Marona summons spirits from the netherworld to fight for her. But she can't just summon them anywhere; she has to channel their spirits into objects rocks, grass, etc each of which gives the summoned spirits different attributes and abilities. The battlefields in PHANTOM BRAVE aren't just backgrounds. Your characters can grab anything, even enemies, and throw them around. Certain objects on the battlefield offer stat-boasting protection or special abilities, too. If you think this game sounds odd, you're right, but that's the goal with PHANTOM BRAVE. The story and characters are humorous and, at times, even silly, but there's a deeper plot and even the silliest of characters has dimensions and personality. All of this combines to create a game that is ideal for strategy RPG players with a sense of humor.
