Hi everybody!


We are here to invite everyone to join Spotgamers at Youth 09 Festival, the largest youth festival in Malaysia more than 50000 people and over 100 activities to participate.

Spotgamers have been invited to join up with the other youth community around Malaysia in the Youth 09 Festival 9-11 January at PWTC. This is the chance for the gaming community to get the exposure and also maybe even future contacts to help the gaming community grow.

What is Youth 09?


YOUTH'09, Malaysia's largest youth lifestyle event[/B] is a 3 day festival to be held on 9th-11th January at the Putra World Trade Centre, bringing together youth communities from all over Malaysia for a range of exciting activities. Themed "Malaysia's Largest Youth Lifestyle Revolution", 50,000 young Malaysians aged 16 to 28 from different backgrounds and youth communities will be coming together to organize and participate in over 100 activities involving fashion, dance, music, entrepreneurship, personal growth, career and other youth interests.

The 1st Official Gamers Gathering in Malaysia

Venue:PWTC Community Hall (Hall 1 Mezzanine)


Yup guys its the 1st ever gamers gathering in Malaysia! We will be having food and drinks for everyone(unless u guys are very hungry!) and a place for us to just chill around and have fun together.

But we wont waste this opportunity just for a meet up. We will be adding 1 more cool event which is:

A total of 12 award has been added and to be won!


Just like The Grammy and AIM, Spotgamers will be conducting our own award ceremony to our best gamers in Malaysia.

3. There will be some sponsors opening booth during our gath so u guys can get ur favourite gaming items at a discounted price!

4. We will be doing a very cool video about gaming so u guys can enjoy during the gath. Who knows you might be featured in our vid!

How we select the nominees and the winner(Gamers)?


1st of all we will compare their achievements above all. Only then we will value other criteria such as sportsmanship, community contribution and etc etc.


How we select for marshall and organizer?


The hardest part is to value subjective and behind the scene works. There are many aspect to covered. For marshall we will value management,discipline,attitude and etc. For organizer we will value in terms of management,prizes,coverage,qualifier,promotion,participants and other quality values.


We welcome any suggestion/opinion if you feel our list is incomplete or feel that our nominees doesnt deserve the to be nominated. All suggestion can be directed thru this forum or thru our blog at Spotgamers. The dateline for suggestion/opinion is until this Friday 9/1/09. So if u feel u or ur team should be nominated, voice out and lets us all know why ^^


As for the nominees, wear nice cloth and prepare your winning speech ^^

for no.4 it will b decided during d gath itself to c which games community (eg dota,fifa) is d most registered during d gath.

Although we will call up all d expert in each field to discuss abt d award but yea do let us noe wht do u think ^^

at d moment we will b doing an overall award.we couldnt afford to do each games award coz its gonna cost a lot of time n resources.however d award is not base on popularity of d game instead is base on d performance.

eg. using ur starcraft as example, let say gamer A from starcraft got no.3 in WCG World and won all d tourney in Malaysia where else gamer B from FIFA only win in malaysia but doesnt hv gd performance in international tourney.

so gamer A from starcraft have better chance in winning. ^^

lol yea gd suggestion it reminds me y not we make an award for THE BEST MARSHALL and THE BEST ORGANIZER as well? wat u all think? ^^

yup wat guardioo said is true.. for the 1st time gamers dun hv to fight with each other n can jst hang out n mix ard no need to worry abt competition.

d games in d frenly matches is jst for fun n jst to expose to d public during our gath. also an entertainment for d gamers to c how d pros play ^^

plus we oso giving award for d largest gaming community during d event. so if there is a lot of gamers for example who play command n conquer 3 register during d gath, everyone yes i mean EVERYONE gets our cool free gifts! ^^

ok guys update on the Spotgamers Gathering And Spotgamers Award Ceremony.



The Bad News:

1.The organizer could not fit in with our request to have frenly matches due to the fact that there isnt enough power point for the pcs. So we have to cancel the Pro-Gamers Frenly Matches together with Predict The Winner Contest.

2. Our only activity will be on Sunday 11/1/09 6pm-8pm Mezanine Hall. We wont be setting up booth for the 3 days event at PWTC. So you dont have to come all 3 days jst come on Sunday only.

thx guys for ur suggestion. we would like to add as many award as we can. but unfortunately the more award we add the more cost we have to bare.


but we will definitely look into this in the future ^^

Newcomer Nomination Criteria:

1. Someone who just started joining a competition or a group of person forming a fresh new clan.
2. Manage to make a great impact out of everyone expectation.
3. Just started playing competitively or together this year(08).
4. Must make all the girls scream (hehehe jk!)


USEEPRO.LZ and PGA fits into the criteria although we can argue that the members in LZ is exp in CS1.6 in different team before. However it is not easy for even d great players to join in with new teammates n blend in so fast to form such great chemistry which we saw in ESWC,WCG and WGT. Plus overthroning Hybrid dominance in CS1.6 is definitely not an easy task to do.


But dont think that USEEPRO LZ will win the award easily. The underdog PGA(Flizzardo team lol) indeed have their own interesting stories to share. With a few weeks left into SGNDT 08, a bunch of young guys form a clan and surprise everyone with their amazing performance especially in SGNDT 08 competing with local and international powerhouse causing upset to many exp team.


If u guys hv any suggestion who u think shld be nominated which fits with d majority of the above criteria (if can fulfill all 4 would b great!) please do let us know and we will look into it. Also if u feel that the above nominees doesnt fit to be nominated do state ur reasoning. We are open to any suggestion till 9/1/09.

We might make mistakes,make wrong judgement and miss some information here n there. After all we are not perfect ^^
