alam is also ok. and if you're lucky and smart enough, u'll stand a chance to go to United States Merchant Marine Academy, new york. my batch mate 4 of them go there. but this only applicable to MISC and AET sponsored cadets.

for those who get GMV sponsonsorship, u shud be happy coz ur allowance is rm100 higher than other sponsor and onboard allowance i heard it is about usd400. the more cgpa u get, they'll also increase ur allowance.

bumi armada sponsored also shud be happy coz this company pay up to rm45000 per month for senior 2nd officer with DP(dynamic positioning) certificates.

hi, im have applied for ALAM, got the 1st interview offer, and i didnt go because, of some personal problem..then ,for the 2nd interview, ALAM called my house, and asked my parents to apply again. I did so, but no reply or email frm them..ha..ha.anyway. im actually a DME 2nd semester student in UniKL, MIMET...Here, we have 5 academic semesters , and 1 practical semester, my seniors had to find their own company....have anyone of u guys heard of my institution??? I bet no...

In SMA, first and second year in campus and the last year is the onboard training.

as i heard, seafarers work minimum hours for maximum pay. can you verify that statement for me? What i heard was seafarers work on alternate days. *thumbs up*

there's a difference between them.
CMR is for like rating crew certificate e.g: able bodied seaman, bosun, ordinary seaman, oiler, greaser.
whereas CoC is for officer rank. e.g: 3rd mate, chief mate, 2nd engineer, chief engineer.
ahaha.

which is for 3rd mate and 2nd mate. =D
