I'm now in a dilemma whether I should shift to another working area as my current job did not fulfill my expectations. I feel that not much opportunity was given to me to develop your research skill as my boss seemed to be not very supportive when I ask for some financial support to send for testing. Based on my understanding, I was being hired because my boss was being asked by the director to hire me. Thus, my boss is unsure what task to let me do...
Currently, i have received an offer to carry out the research project that I'm interested in but the funding will only be available for one year with the optional of another year based on performance.
FYI, both jobs are contract based but the current job will not be having any problem of extending until 3 years while the new job is uncertained after 1 year.....

Any idea, should I shift to another job?
