QUOTE(shenngau @ Sep 12 2013, 03:09 AM) It depends on your HR procedure. I think most of the companies need hardcopy but i know some companies don't need it. The standard should be: 1) Print out hardcopy, then you sign it. 2) Scan for a softcopy. Send softcopy to HR and your manager. 3) Pass the hardcopy to your manager. I see...thanks for your info...coz my employee handbook only said resignation have 2 months notice period, but no mention the procedure.

Hi, I have another questions to ask:
1) I refer to the sample on page 1, the ATTENTION: part I have to write the relevant manager name or just the title?such as Shift Manager. Can I include 2 persons or more in the ATTENTION: such as ATTENTION: Shift Manager / Operations Manager / HR Manager like this?
2) When I write the effective date and notice period, do I have to write the end date of notice period as below?
Please be informed that effective 30 SEPTEMBER 2013, I am resigning from your company as [position title] provided for in my employment contract. Henceforth, I will serve the designated 2 month notice period as per required by my contract until the expiration of my notice which is 30 NOVEMBER 2013.
Coz I plan to submit the resignation letter on 30 September 2013, so is it the way I wrote is correct?
