Should i just tender with my HoD or HR and HoD?

Should it be a proper letter or an email will suffice in a formal format.

Another thing if i do tender via a letter do i just pass it to HR and walk away or stand there??

This is very awkward. Whom do i explain my self to my HoD? or my HR?

Is it common for people to suddenly resign, might seem like a bomb is dropped its not that i have show signs of discontent for the company its just not my type of industry and i dont have interest in my work,

Nor Gain job satisfaction.

Im still on probation.

Being my first job, what is expected of me during the 1 month in lieu ~?
