Hi all, I have a question.
If I wish to resign by paying one month's salary instead of serving notice, does the employer have the right to deny me the option to do so?

Hello guys. I would like to seek some advice on the matter of resignation.
I'm still on probation and in my offer letter, it is stated that should I resign, I will need to either serve one month notice or pay in lieu one month's salary. My question is, can my employer's deny me or reject my resignation? I have heard stories whereby a manager purposely delays approving your resignation. Do they have the legal right to do so? Assuming I give up a month's salary instead of serving notice. |
