Can someone please tell me will the MS Visual Studio 2005 work with Window Vista?

I've got it in my Vista. I didn't install it as a stand-alone installer/setup though. It came bundled in one of the many softwares that I bought and installed. It should work in "Compatibility Mode" @ least, make sure that it's updated.

Not sure MS Visual Studio 2005, but MS Visual Studio 2008 either free or pro version work on window vista, i got MS Visual Studio 2008 pro on my vista basic and non pro on vista premium

I can reconfirm that MS Visual Studio '05 works in Vista 32-Bit with SP1. I just launched the application.

TS, you can run Visual Studio 2005 on Windows Vista, but with some compatibilities problem as Visual Studio 2005 was developed before Windows Vista reach RTM. If you still insist on installing, make sure you install this:

Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 (431.7mb)


and after you've installed SP1, install this:

Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 Update for Windows Vista (28.9mb):
