It is a sequel for a reason. And its being released after only 2 years of development. What were you expecting?

Even if you look at Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2, the game looks roughly the same, uses most of the same assets and just has slight graphical improvements in certain areas.

Complaining about asset reuse in sequels is like complaining about The Return of The King "recycling" characters by bringing back everyone from The Towers.

Well your post sounded like you hated sequels in general and it looked a bit unfair that you singled out MW2 only.

Ok, on the whole "OMG its RM 210" issue, let me offer some perspective:
If you look at TSB's roster for the last year or so, you'll notice that the last few major titles by Activision all cost insanely high,
Wolverine = RM 170
Prototype = RM 190
Wolfenstein = RM 200
Well, you could say that New Era must be increasing their profit margins, but their Ubisoft and THQ titles are still reasonably priced.

Thus, either the middleman for Activision titles has started raising prices or Activision themselves are raising them.

So, MW2's price is actually in line with other Activision titles, so take that as you will.

We do the same, its not that hard really.

The measure of a game should be on its own merits, not relative to other games.

And let's not forget that its completely subjective so if someone disagrees with you, it doesn't mean that they are wrong, just that they think differently than you do.

So, when someone says they are enjoying their time with MW2, nobody else really has any right to question them about it. Which brings an interesting point up: If he does try those games you suggested and still chooses MW2 over them? What then?

Anyone with half a brain can tell that everything you've had to say on the matter is either directly inflammatory or a veiled attack somehow.Its that you've been promoting this weird "Don't play MW2, play these other games instead!" mantra the last few months and I personally find it irritating that you believe ppl somehow aren't allowed to enjoy a game that you don't. I do not have you in my sights for being banned again (If anything, meetxj9 is closer) but the one thing that disappoints me about the whole banning incident is that you didn't learn anything from it.

Also, thank you for telling me my role in this forum. Clearly closing off duplicate threads is more important than participating in it.

Its not exactly good form to tell people how to spend their money, much less judge them for it. And being passive aggressive about it isn't good either.

This entire issue with MW2 has been boiling over for almost 6 months already and the amount of irrational hate generated by it was insane. One would think that it would change once the game is released... but nooooooo. That just made it worst as now everyone who was even remotely positive about the game was ridiculed (Mostly directly at first, but it got a bit subtle later).

It doesn't really look like you guys are coming in here to discuss the game proper, but rather try and either annoy everyone having a good time here or pull them away from it. That's almost as bad as the anti-dota crowd.

Also, the last time I "checked" cheesenium, he said he would leave and never come back to the CoD section... That lasted less then a month if I'm not mistaken. He was quite civil at first, then the anti-MW2 stuff all came back eventually. Thus, I'm taking that with a pinch of salt.

You made that report what, earlier today? If you saw the issue since 2 weeks ago, why didn't you report it then? I don't frequent the Battlefield subforum and the only reason I frequent this CoD one is because its (apparently) still flamebait for most people. The same goes for the other mods for GH (Which you have indirectly attacked with the accusation as well).

Thank you for your input on how to moderate a multi-game forum here. We are very sad that we are unable to adhere to your very high level of conduct as clearly every gaming mod here should have first hand knowledge and interest in all games under the sun and as such we are not at that level, so we must apologize for our shortcomings.

I have banned no less than 6 ppl for doing anti-dota trollings. I just don't broadcast them to the rest of the world when I do.

I have also done the same for FO3. Also, in the FO3 thread, the haters were hating on the game itself, they weren't deriding the people who actually liked the game. Plus, most of them said their piece and left peacefully. You guys just keep on coming back.

Also, could you stop drawing correlations to other issues in the forum because they're not the same really. This isn't much of a grey area that you speak off. Look up at what goldfries said for info.

I was just stating that you yourself mentioned it. Obviously I wouldn't consider it binding. Just funny.

Actually, I don't think we would've gotten them at all if it weren't for nVidia. They never planned to bring it to PC.

The ironic part is that the same thing happened to Medal of Honour
