*bolded part* That's the reason why i'm asking here...welcome to malaysia.
*2nd bolded part* i dun even know where my mw2, how am i gonna backup it...
I will answer your 2nd part, honestly, you can just copy out your WHOLE steam folder and run it off a portable hdd without any problems. I have done it before, so I dont see why you cant if there is any reasons holding it back ofc.
If you still dont know where is your steam folder, simple, right click on your shortcut and find out where it is pointing at. Inside the STEAM folder, should have the local files in there. Its not that many folders to go through unless u have a lot of games in it, so G_G .
Oh the other thing, abt copying the entire folder...you dont have to install it, unless the PC you are on that doesnt have steam then you might need to install the service which is automated usually. And other thing is, STEAM folder can be V E R Y big, depending on how many games you have in it.
EDIT: After re-reading the post u said abt not sure where MW2 is, you can try by backing up the game like what -ZeN- said. I know, I know, you dont know where it is, already said in his post and read above. Right click on the game itself (in My Games window), and I think there is an option for backup, if it isnt, go to properties. There you should be able to find backup function I think, and then it will prompt you to where you want your backup files should be saved, save it where ever you want and just burn it into a CD.
