Oh my problem wasn't iTunes Store, it was the iPod-iTunes connection problem. Read all over the web with so many people having the same problem, but no solution even from Apple. BUT finally found it over a small discussion thread.

My brand new iPod Touch just wouldn't connect with my iTunes, keep getting unknown error message on iTunes, couldn't not connect. Restored the iPod at least 5 times, reinstalled iTunes at least another 5 times, downgraded iTunes to version 8.1 then 8.0, changed USB ports, removed USD hub, called Apple and the same bla bla bla.. NOTHING works. BUT I was able to connect it to another computer (which was ironically on Windows) which was a relieve, cause it means there's nothing wrong with the iPod.

Then after almost 2 days searching, FOUND it! I logged into another user account, tried connecting, and it works! A folder called "Lockdown" was created in that user library folder and all I had to do was copy that into my user folder. Thereafter the iPod connected to my iTunes happily.

At least the iTunes Store has better connection today... The page is finally loading properly after days of rotten connection...

It only cost RM 869 (after tax refund) if you buy it from Australia 2 months ago. haha

guys i don't think its itunes or apple that has the connection problem.
i think it was the earthquake in taiwan (was it taiwan? i forget hehe)
but it's affecting our daily connectivity in general quite badly.
i think they're working on it, but not sure if work is done hehe

Yup..you're right dude..submarine cables damage...but it's not the taiwan earthquake..it was at the mediterranean sea this time...we only faced a bit compare to India..was workin' on it 2 weeks ago...hate workin on holiday!! ...gotta hand it to my ipod touch...works the magic while sleeping under my cubicle at office...

guys, got my ipod touch today.

just wanna ask, what's is your recommended earphones? I find the one that comes with it isn't up to par.

plus, there's no built in equalizer?

I agree that the built-in iPod earphones are a bit sucky...

That's y i'm using the Earpump by Sonicgear... It's an affordable in-ear phones and effectively blocks out the surrounding noise, giving a nice listening experience...
