Ibanez have a cheaper, you can get a twin humbucking plus single pickup, a long fret(you never know when u might need extra fret) and a tremolo bridge for only rm800+, and u'll surely able to use it for years. Epiphone and gibson model comes only with twin humbucker, no tremolo, and a short fret and you need to pay a quite sum of money(like rm900++ for epiphone or rm3000++ for gibson, the cheapest i can get).

Then again, if you're really into saving mode and just really want to practice using electric guitar, you can get a SX or Aria guitar for only rm400-rm600. Second hand model of these surely drops to rm200.

Somehow, if it's budget restricted and enthusiasm kicks in, acoustic guitar is a good start since it can help make your finger more durable. Start off with chords and bass note, the hop on to the solo bandwagon after you got your finger fast enough.
For me, acoustic is the same as electric in term of practicing, except it didn't have enough fret to practice most solo. Reading tabs is good but don't get too used to it or it'll make you less sensitive to tones and scales.

Sorry to hear that, playing bass must've need a lot more stamina than playing guitar tongue.gif . I have no problem practicing but i avoid strumming too hard. nod.gif
