How Ironic! Didn't know that she played the Bacchus. That video made me pickup the bass again this past year!
If that is the sound, then I have to say the 'pop' sound from the experiment that day was quite unique. It's either caused by the RM1.4k bass amp or the fender/squire jazz bass itself.
On the other hand, the Bacchus and Ibanez have the advantage in another area. Being clean, modern sound basses allows it to be synthesized better. I don't think the jazz bass can take those tone changes very well.
Anyway, my immediate task is to convert to be a drummer. Near term investment seems to be towards a 2nd, better crash cymbal.
Just came back from Japan and Bacchus guitar is fetching a lot more higher price than CIJ Fender . There were some local Japanese brand and some high school kid 'pop' the Cagayake Girls Opening with a Jazz Bass ( Local Japanese Brand ) And it come out just fine . I on the other hand , tested on a Warwick ... Love it ahaha . If that is the sound, then I have to say the 'pop' sound from the experiment that day was quite unique.
