Ibanez is a very decent brand for beginner to Pro players ... Even Herman Li is using it ... Haha ... Main features of Ibanez : Slim neck ... Nice to fret with.

but then can i buy something like "Stagg" then well it's not a good quality electric gutar but my friend told me that it's good enough for begineer like me. and suggested me that after i archieve some level in guitar then i buy something like epiphone or maybe gibson something like that.

Ibanez have a cheaper, you can get a twin humbucking plus single pickup, a long fret(you never know when u might need extra fret) and a tremolo bridge for only rm800+, and u'll surely able to use it for years. Epiphone and gibson model comes only with twin humbucker, no tremolo, and a short fret and you need to pay a quite sum of money(like rm900++ for epiphone or rm3000++ for gibson, the cheapest i can get).

Then again, if you're really into saving mode and just really want to practice using electric guitar, you can get a SX or Aria guitar for only rm400-rm600. Second hand model of these surely drops to rm200.

1. One other beginner set that is often mentioned is SX guitars.
2. I've not seen enough people using Staggs. Just ask the shop for a try.

Somehow, if it's budget restricted and enthusiasm kicks in, acoustic guitar is a good start since it can help make your finger more durable. Start off with chords and bass note, the hop on to the solo bandwagon after you got your finger fast enough.
For me, acoustic is the same as electric in term of practicing, except it didn't have enough fret to practice most solo. Reading tabs is good but don't get too used to it or it'll make you less sensitive to tones and scales.

Sorry to hear that, playing bass must've need a lot more stamina than playing guitar tongue.gif . I have no problem practicing but i avoid strumming too hard. nod.gif

But then you must think , Stagg is cheap when you buy it ... But can it last you as long as an Ibanez or Yamaha ? You pay more in the beginning and can save the rest for better or you get a cheap model and you have to keep upgrading till you get satisfy ? With a RM1k budget , You can already buy the Ibanez Starter pack for about Rm9xx ... Or pump it to Rm1.2k-Rm1.5k to get an amp + guitar . For beginner , I STRONGLY suggest Ibanez. I personally used Ibanez as my first beginner bass few months ago ... Now not anymore tongue.gif

Seconded Ibanez here nod.gif , rm900 can get GRG series which is more than a beginner could ask for. But I'll still go for my white SG tongue.gif

@Eccen, Stone won't be playing during fasting. And my bro is still new to the drums (but he's picking up quick... frighteningly quick knowing his skills playing Starcraft)...

Would like to ask the readers of this thread. Any proposal of an anime song with slightly easier drum beats?

Strangely, he finds playing Don't Say Lazy is within his reach, so hang in there until he gets there.
