If you mean Ranjit Specialist in ss15? No i don't think he's that good. I went to him with a problem, he took less than a minute to look at my wound and decided it's skin fungus, gave me a prescription and ask me to come back 3 weeks later.
That was 1 year ago, till now, the problem still exist.

Can't remember which one exactly been a long time since i when there since his method is pricey and certainly not for a boy who can't care less about his cleanliness. Some goverment doctors are very dedicated, i must say, since i have eczema, and have been to Ranjit, KLGH, UMMC,Sabah Medical Centre, Ipoh GH, some privite clinics and so on. Most of them give the same kind of advice in regards to Eczema is that is the case. How old is your friend? And which area of the body is affected?

You can try Dr. Koh Skin Specialist - Damansara Utama Uptown (behind RHB). Reasonably priced and, in my experience, effective in resolving eczema and acne

come on fellas.
if it is one thing i have realised with us Asians, is we give credit to someone way too quickly before knowing whether the person really is worth the credit they are getting.
Dr Nathan, is probably a Doctor. But a GOOD doctor, he is not.
A good doctor, understands the problem, before prescribing a solution.
TO understand the problem, a DOCTOR must ask the right questions. Review the conditions. Evaluate certain risks and benefits involved, and this might take 10 minutes to 45 minutes.
Now - Dr Nathan, does not ask the right questions.
He does not evaluate and review the conditions as he rightfully should.
He DOES NOT write the patient examination report himself. He leaves that to a nurse - who 9.5 out of 10 times, does not know what she is doing. SHE would have to come out of the examination room, and ask each patient - where the problems are / what are the doctor's instructions etc - SO THAT SHE CAN WRITE THE REPORT ON BEHALF OF THE DOCTOR (OBVIOUSLY SHE IS TOO AFRAID TO ASK THE PATIENTS IN THE ROOM FOR FEAR OF GETTING A SCOLDING FROM THE DOCTOR. SO EACH PATIENT MUST DISCUSS HIS/HER PROBLEM IN THE WAITING ROOM, WHERE EVERYBODY AND THEIR UNCLES ARE AVAILABLE TO SHARE THE INFORMATION)
AND WHY DOES DR NATHAN DO WHAT HE DOES - THE WAY HE DOES IT?
Here is why: He wears a ROLEX watch. He makes lotsa money. BUT, everyone is entitled to make lotsa money.
He SEES about 60 patients a day. That is a conservative estimate.
He overlaps appointments - to see as MANY patients as he can. There could be two or more patients with THE SAME appointment time.
As a result of the number of patients he takes in, he has to reduce examination time to maybe, 3 -5 minutes per patient.
CONCLUSION: Dr Nathan is only interested in making MONEY.
As a result, I believe he has 3 levels of treatment.
MILD: with mild antiobiotics and cream prescribed.
MEDIUM: with medium antibiotics and cream prescribed.
SERIOUS: with serious antibiotics and cream proscribed.
with that regime of treatment, any ***** KIA doctor can do a good job.
And please la, dont tell me he is a good doctor and show him great respect just cos he has a DATUKSHIP. what the hell is a doctor doing with a Datukship anyways???
Added on January 3, 2011, 11:11 amsometimes, I think it is better to try out a few of the lesser known doctors / specialist who are not too tied up with making money.
I dont know any, but I think there should be a few scattered around KL and Selangor area.
Goevrnment hospitals are probably a stretch, but the lines would be long and the doctors would probably be Malays. And Malay doctors, are fine, if they are not racist or a tad slow in their response. Hence, the long lines. Or know what they are doing.

I just went to Klinik Pakar Kulit Md Noh. All i can say is I'm terribly dissapointed with tye service. I have few questions but everytime he finish answering one he would say bye and quickly looking at the next patient card.
I am very concerned regarding keloid on my right jaw but he simply said hormone injection is the answer and proceed with the injection.
I am definitely not coming back to see him. Any other good dermatologist out there that at least care about their patients or have the courtesy/time to explain regarding the procedure and also its drawback? I dont mind Paying extra for good services. I think everyone else also the same.

you guys can try Dr. Sachdev from Sachdev Skin Clinic, location is somewhere near Masjid Jamek, in Wisma Gucharan. Simply the best, he's cheap, and medicine prescribed is good as well, the last time I went to another Dr. that gave me same medicine and saw me for 5min that cost me about RM450, and Sachdev is less than RM100. Its hard to find really good dermatologist nowdays.

i personally went to jalan tengku abdul rahman there, near bus stop, there is a specialist clinic DR NOH..really nice DR..i'm a pharmacy student so i know what type of medicine he supplied to me, it works for me, no more severe pimples, just maybe 1 pimple / month LOL sometime no at all just like now
medicine for pimple, is a type of antibiotic named doxycycline ( brown or yellow tablet), normally will only be prescribed for 6months, to avoid bacteria resistance. Take it twice a day, if you're muslim during fasting month, before start fasting and when you break your fast, if not in fasting month..the gap should be 8hours..
for the topical cream, Sodium Sulfacetamide & tretinoin is the best..
