QUOTE(diversity @ Sep 2 2012, 12:00 AM) taking multivitamin can cause breakout?idk tis..do u take it in normal amount or u overdose it? Added on September 2, 2012, 12:42 pmok...just google..n get tis The three main components of multivitamins that appear to have a negative effect on acne are vitamins B6, B12, and the mineral iodine. The problem here is that normal doses of these substances are necessary to function properly. The use of multivitamins, especially those with an enhanced B-complex (usually much more than the 100 percent recommended amount) and iodine fortified products (salt and through cow ingestion, milk) lead us to take much more than the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) suggested amount. Several studies, including a 1991 study by EF Sheretz, showed that a high dosage of the B6 and B12 vitamin led to an acne reaction that was resistant to typical acne treatment Read more: How do Multivitamins Cause Acne? | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5243773_do-mu...l#ixzz25LLGW3YN This post has been edited by shahrul09: Sep 2 2012, 12:42 PM |

QUOTE(diversity @ Sep 2 2012, 01:56 PM) It is usually taken once per day. Since my multivitamins are expiring soon and I would not wanna waste time. I tried taking them like once a week or once a month, but it still still causes breakouts. Once I take them, on the next day my face would be filled with red giant pimples. IMO its too heaty. woah...tat quite scary cause i just start taking multivit..may i know which brand of multivitamin u eat...hope not same wit mine..=.= i read somewhere tat zinc and few vit can help maintain my hormone balance tat y i start taking multivit.. but i bought da one without iodine cause i noe iodine can cause breakout. i think your body and ur diet already enough to maintain da normal amount of vit and mineral u nid. mayb u dun hv to eat multivit.. excessive amount in body also can cause -ve effect |

QUOTE(diversity @ Sep 3 2012, 10:21 PM) It depends on your skin bro, my friend takes multivitamins on a daily basis and he has no problem whatsoever. My face especially the t-zone gets very oily whenever i wake up too. I tend to apply a light moisturizer at night, and use face blotters to control the oiliness. You could also try to cleanse your face more often. it happen after i clean my face twice a day..before tis i only clean it in da morning..nite jus splash wit cold water..i think too much wash also can cause ur skin to compensate da oil back rite? |
