once u reached stability, why not u try to lower ur vdimm now and test,

Hint: less heat, more speed

i choose 1.8v , just try it, once u face dificulty, start from below timing, +1

answer is very simple : more room to overclocking your older proc with minimum volt..
so it''s not a waste actually, besided that u can buy agena/7750 to taste it,

after am3 come out+ddr3 wait a few month, nah, then grab it
