Dark eh? In my limited experience I'd say you have these choices:
1) Quattros - Dark and warm, though at the expense of being boomy and lacking in detail, at least below 50hours of burn in. But being the bass lover that you are, I don't think you'd mind. Try with the No.1 Port for the most bass - RM2xx (forgot how much exactly, get from
Bro Wala ). Great Isolation if you jam them into your ears deep enough.
2) Music Valley SP1 - Bass heavy, but better balanced then the Quads. While it's my personal favourite (at least right now), it might be a tad too bright for your needs, works wonders with EQ tho. Worse isolation compared to the Quads due to it's strange design - RM180 from bro godluvsxs.
Also (these I do not have personally but I have heard good things about), you might consider:
1) NuForce NE-6 - was the best thing for bass under RM200 since sliced bread, supposedly (RM180 - online from NuForce)
2) Cyclone PR2 - comparable to the FX500, Monster Turbines and IE8 it seems in terms of bass (quality-wise though, dunno about the quantity). I'm actually interested in getting them myself (RM260 or so from a forummer here).
And yeah, I have a thing for dynadriver IEMs, lol.
thanks alot for both ur comments but im not a basshead! heh i think u guys misunderstood, what i meant was ipod is lacking of bass mmm.. and yee i've heard quattros but never thought it was dark and warm sounding which i like, will try out quattros very soon. btw , i would be please if theres also any similar type of headphones lower of hd555?
