Then i think sennheiser is the best choice! They have a balance bass, not that boomy and colder which you still can feel the clarity and background sound but not as clear as the open back due to they are produce more airy sound stage but still very good mids and highs.

Senn 212 or 205 is quite a good pick but bare in mind 205 has longer and thin cable which is quite annoying. If not, the PX series will do and it's portable. Px 100 has more bass, the brother 200 has reduce it's bass but very satisfying Mids sound.

FYI, the bass that play out from the speaker system, even though it's so call very warm and boomy bass, for most normal 2.1 speaker it's more like a fake bass and too boomy will cover up all the background sound. Normal say it's like reviving bass killing the total sound.

Sennheiser is good , but aint good enough in my price range Rm2xx ..... heard from the others blush.gif

QUOTE(hirari @ Aug 22 2009, 09:59 PM)
Only muddy/boomy bass will affect the clarity. The A300 is nowhere near muddy. The amount of bass produced will be sufficient and adequate for a particular song. Meaning if rock music for example, you'll be hearing the bassline strings and the drum beats that you're supposed to hear, nothing more and nothing less. Now that's quality bass.

AD300 airy signature might lack the amount of bass necessary for the types of music such as pop, dance, R&B, hip-hop or techno (the typical kind of music that Hitz.fm would play). But if you're willing to try it out anyway then by all means go ahead.
*
" you'll be hearing the bassline strings and the drum beats that you're supposed to hear, nothing more and nothing less " , you mean AD300 has balanced bass ? mean medium , not high , not low ?

if AD300 is lack of the amount of bass , then how about M30, for listening to those kind of music ? or you have a another suggestion ?

QUOTE(yuheng @ Aug 23 2009, 12:58 AM)
if the sound is refined to 5 frequency...the strong bass will not affect ur clarity, it will push u if u have great pairing.
for ur budget range, will AD500 be a better choices if budget allowed biggrin.gif
*
will think about it ... because it is Rm400 rclxub.gif ..... but , isnt it discontinued ? saw from official web site

So you want good detail and clarity with not so much bass, and if you still wanna try AT, then i suggest you go with M30 for a safer bet.

Read that post again. I was referring to A300. NOT AD300.

What i was trying to say is, in my opinion and according to my personal taste, A300 has a much balanced sound than the AD300.

Any other good headphones within that budget that you can recommend?

Personally, I'm gona go Grado. haha..No 1 here seems to recommend grado that often huh?

Well, I like KSC75's sound sig more than my HD 555 and AD700..So does that mean Grado's the way to go for me?

If you like forward sounding and 'in your face' music....go Grado/Alessandro, after listening to them, any other cans will sound pretty laidback laugh.gif I recommend Ms1 for awesomeness (highly biased opinion brows.gif ) tongue.gif

my budget will be around RM800 but can scretch up abit, my requirement will be good sound isolation/noise cancelling, balance between bass and treble, was considering at-anc7 and now got anc7b, but cant find any review on it yet, any other good recon. here?thanks.

usually listen to:
Orchestral film/game soundtracks (i.e. Dark Knight/Transformers..epic sounding, large-scale dynamics)
Classical Music (i.e. violin concertos/string quartets/symphonies...violin portrayal important)
Alternative/Pop Punk Rock (Offspring/Blink 182/All-American Rejects)
Mainstream Pop (Natasha Bedingfield/Ashley Tisdale/Rihanna...uptempo songs with female vocals and good energy/beat)

guess m30 is better ? because when I use LYN search engine , keyword "M30" , display as post , there are many pages of them , like 20++ pages... after read all of them , found that m30 has balanced sound and good for gaming too ...but for SHP-8900 , just few pages... lolx .... even in Amazon.com , M30 getting good reviews... and SHP-8900 no result -.-... lolx

SHP8900 is an open-back. So it may sound different than M30. Dunno if for the better or worse. Depends on the person i guess.

AD500 vs M30 VS DT231 , mainly for music 70% , 30% for FPS game ...so basically music and fps game

@ music , English Hitz music pop , rock , techno
@gaming , CS , left 4 dead , need to detect enemy position and listen footsteps

thank ... give me some opinion and their comparison.

PS: I just wanna know how much is the difference between these 2 , if difference not big , I think I would get M30 instead, cheaper

AD500 is good enough for (higher end) starters. At least it's a lot better than AD300 or M30.
