since it is a closed type , thus every time you use it you will stretch open the upper strap. When you release from your head, it will retract and both of the canals meet together.

As I use it for sometime, it became loose and it will not retract bac kto its normal position.  I always put it in my laptop bag, so it will be pressured on while im travelling.

at the end, it was broken when I put it in my luggage during my trip back from USA last few weeks t.t ... sad case.

I dont know wheter you understand my explanation as I do not know the exact term of each of the compartments of a headset lol >.<
*
yup i understand... IMO the design is not the main problem it's the way u handle it...
do u travel often? if yes i think u should opt 2 something more portable...

haha ya i guess im not gentle enoigh with it lol >.< ..

tats why im asking is M30 has similar design as T22 . Ya tats what I wanna buy 1 portable and one less portable =D . I think M30 is not really portable huh ?

Added on September 9, 2009, 12:03 amhow about Beyer Dynamics DT231 = RM230? is it better than M30 ?
*
M30 is totally not a portable... i think u shouldget one IEM and one portable headphone like PX100 or FC700 but prefer PX100 4 u coz it can be folded flat n case r provided...
bout DT231 im not really sure coz never tried it... but i think design wise it's still pretty much the same...

hi..

i'm finding a headphone tat around RM200..

i wanna to noe wat is d different between open n close for d headpohne??
*
do u mind telling 4 wat purpose is it... basically:
open: less isolation, ,more soundstage, less bass
closed: gud isolation, less soundstage, more bass
this is juz basics but there r some dat offers the other way around...

o , ... im thinking of FC700 . Are FC700 and FX100 comparable in term of quality as the price are pretty much the same.
*
quality wise both r really gud IMO its not some kind of cheapo ones... in terms of sound sig FC700 got gud soundstage, bass is there but not overwhelming, mid bass will be more prominent than the lows... vocals r crystal clear... PX100 try ask from sennheiser users...
i recommend u PX100 in terms of design eventhough FC700 r portables it cant be folded flat try google some pictures of it folded coz i think it can give u the same problem...

i wanna find a REALY COMFORTABLE headphone..(i used to listen to song for many hours)

so closed or open which 1 better??

is there any good headphone around RM200??

n is US or UK cheaper compare to malaysia or jaben(s'pore)??
*
if u wan comfies around dat price try check A/AD 300 its around ur price range...
which one is better btween open n closed it depends on ur sound preference... take note some closed headphone can make ur ears warm or worse sweating...

price from US n UK sure r cheaper but take note with the shipping cost n the fuss... so if the difference r juz less than RM300 i think better 2 get from nearby seller... u can compare the prices some particular models r dirt cheap from overseas it's juz u got 2 search 4 it... but beware of fakes 2 coz it's getting more n more lately...

I also wanna search a very comfortable headpone.m30 quite comfortable but can't last till 2 hours, my ears would start to ache.fc700 also nothing better.

I tried monster beat studio and Sony nc60 ,and both really comfortable.no doubt it could last for hours.I even thought of buying nc60.coz I listen to music like 12 hours per day.

I know both isn't audiophiles level and monster is Bose in cable, so wanna ask ur guys opinion, what are audiophiles headphone but super ultra comfortable?I don't care bout the budget, just wanna know these kind of headphone, even if expensive I would start saving smile.gif.

QUOTE(CNJM90 @ Sep 10 2009, 08:58 PM)
Hi guys, I'm a newbie but I want to get a pair of earphones and/or cans
I currently own an iPod classic and if you guys own one, you would know that it has very weak bass.
Some reviewers say getting cans with higher bass will eliminate this problem. anyone know about this prob?

But on another topic, my budget can range up to 250 (max)
Was reading the thread and what i got was that the cans that were worth your money were the:
SJ3, SJ5, m-35, M30, AD700, AD300, DT231, FC700, HD218
Im sure you guys know which brands these models are from cuz I don't lol.

I'm not too sure about the earphone models as well. Help me out audiophiles?

Also, I'm not stuck to anyone genre so im not tied there but I stress a lot on comfort as I use them close to 3-4 hours at a go.
Open/closed cans? any debate cuz i've been hearing a lot of things from different people.. what about full sized cans and other ones?

Help! and thanks in advance!

mayb u can look 4 dynamic driver IEM's if u wan more bass or try 2 use LOD out from ur iPod mayb it can help a bit...

... Hows HD228 ? .. the cup for this headset is made of leather .. I think it should be comfortable @@ .. its about 289 from all it ...

Im wondering will the cup of the px100 easily torn ? ... it looks vulnerable and susceptible to damages
*
not really sure bout it n it's quite unpopular here... but it's not wrong if u wanna try..
PX100 pads r easily torn not really sure if it's replacable...

Thanks man.
haha okok, my bad. Mm, well I want them portable/to bring around. What are the conditions that make it portable? no amp?
Okay, i re-read the forum and went to akabane's site to search for the price range of AT headphones
What I got was M30, AD300, SJ3 and FC700. Also seeing that M30 is the choices for most people is it what i'm looking for?
What about recommendations from other brands seeing that Seinheiser has good headphones as well...

My criteria mainly covers being portable, comfortable and have a good overall sound as i listen many genres, not just one.
Open cans give more leakage to the environment but are more comfortable? Closed ones better music but less comfortable? Am I right?
Is this where I have to pick between comfort for music?

I am interested in getting earphones AND cans cuz even portable cans can be quite bulky right? Or i could get a foldable pair of headphones?
IEMs generally give more bass in earphones right? Any brands to lookout for for earphones?
Any recommendation? For earphones, I would prefer more bass cuz generally most earphones have weak bass. Soundmagic? AT maybe?

Thanks again in adv.

from ur budget i'll recommend Music Valley SP1 the bass r quite nice IMO... out of the box the bass r really prominent... after burning inthe bass tamed down a lil n the details shine... quite a fun sounding IEM's IMO...

here r some impression from one of forummer here... http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...usic+valley+sp1

1) audio technica under AD1000 mainly no need of amps , not amp hunger . But you can always amp them for better performance . You also can check walabies thread, he is selling Audio technica stuff too.
M30 , AD300 is bulky  to bring around thus not portable , but if it is fine with you , up to you then . So the better choice is FC700 , which is closed for more bass yet portable. Closed provides more bass but not as comfortable and
wide soundstage as open ... Closed is comfortable for 2+- hours , but open can last longer like  4 5 hours .. because closed headphone use leather pad ( mostly ) to prevent sound leakage ( more bass less soundstage) , so it is quite not comfortable as open which use foam ear pads ( less bass more soundstage) .. IEM is good but not for me , I feel pain when it stuck in my ears . you can refer to towkey if you want IEM , no idea about IEM
*
lol bro im also no expert in IEM's... IEM expert should be Clieos... I used 2 dislike IEM but this SP1 made me change my perceptions on it...
eventhough FC700 r closed but the soundstage dat it gave r quite good IMO... bass dat r prominent r mid bass not low bass... the pads r not really leather but it's quite gud one not the likes of that can torn easily...
