since it is a closed type , thus every time you use it you will stretch open the upper strap. When you release from your head, it will retract and both of the canals meet together.

As I use it for sometime, it became loose and it will not retract bac kto its normal position.  I always put it in my laptop bag, so it will be pressured on while im travelling.

at the end, it was broken when I put it in my luggage during my trip back from USA last few weeks t.t ... sad case.

I dont know wheter you understand my explanation as I do not know the exact term of each of the compartments of a headset lol >.<

tats why im asking is M30 has similar design as T22 . Ya tats what I wanna buy 1 portable and one less portable =D . I think M30 is not really portable huh ?

I also wanna search a very comfortable headpone.m30 quite comfortable but can't last till 2 hours, my ears would start to ache.fc700 also nothing better.

I tried monster beat studio and Sony nc60 ,and both really comfortable.no doubt it could last for hours.I even thought of buying nc60.coz I listen to music like 12 hours per day.

I know both isn't audiophiles level and monster is Bose in cable, so wanna ask ur guys opinion,what are audiophiles headphone but super ultra comfortable?I don't care bout the budget, just wanna know these kind of headphone,even if expensive I would start saving .

Hi guys, I'm a newbie but I want to get a pair of earphones and/or cans
I currently own an iPod classic and if you guys own one, you would know that it has very weak bass.
Some reviewers say getting cans with higher bass will eliminate this problem. anyone know about this prob?

But on another topic, my budget can range up to 250 (max)
Was reading the thread and what i got was that the cans that were worth your money were the:
SJ3, SJ5, m-35, M30, AD700, AD300, DT231, FC700, HD218
Im sure you guys know which brands these models are from cuz I don't lol.

I'm not too sure about the earphone models as well. Help me out audiophiles?

Also, I'm not stuck to anyone genre so im not tied there but I stress a lot on comfort as I use them close to 3-4 hours at a go.

Okay, i re-read the forum and went to akabane's site to search for the price range of AT headphones
What I got was M30, AD300, SJ3 and FC700. Also seeing that M30 is the choices for most people is it what i'm looking for?
What about recommendations from other brands seeing that Seinheiser has good headphones as well...

My criteria mainly covers being portable, comfortable and have a good overall sound as i listen many genres, not just one.
Open cans give more leakage to the environment but are more comfortable? Closed ones better music but less comfortable? Am I right?
Is this where I have to pick between comfort for music?

I am interested in getting earphones AND cans cuz even portable cans can be quite bulky right? Or i could get a foldable pair of headphones?
IEMs generally give more bass in earphones right? Any brands to lookout for for earphones?
Any recommendation? For earphones, I would prefer more bass cuz generally most earphones have weak bass. Soundmagic? AT maybe?

1) audio technica under AD1000 mainly no need of amps , not amp hunger . But you can always amp them for better performance . You also can check walabies thread, he is selling Audio technica stuff too.
M30 , AD300 is bulky  to bring around thus not portable , but if it is fine with you , up to you then . So the better choice is FC700 , which is closed for more bass yet portable. Closed provides more bass but not as comfortable and
wide soundstage as open ... Closed is comfortable for 2+- hours , but open can last longer like  4 5 hours .. because closed headphone use leather pad ( mostly ) to prevent sound leakage ( more bass less soundstage) , so it is quite not comfortable as open which use foam ear pads ( less bass more soundstage) .. IEM is good but not for me , I feel pain when it stuck in my ears . you can refer to towkey if you want IEM , no idea about IEM
