I think tax will be exempted if you bought it back from Aus by urself.

eh wtf i didnt read that, lol exams frying my brain too much . 4k lol yea the correct price range lar, crazy man maybe after i get a stable good paying job first.

but the prob i want to ask how good they are, and how one drives them. sure they are extremely nice and well built however a porta system will never be as good as a full fledged desktop system lol. so spend that much money and it sounds lower then my current setup would be meh.

this is my 1st time posting in this forum. Recently i bought the Altec Lansing UHP 336 which cost me around RM400++, but somehow my niece when to my room and starts playing it with a pair of scissor =(.

So now i'm looking for a replacement and my budget is around RM300-RM400 and i prefer an IEM phone. Can't decide which one to get since there's a lot of model & brand now. I'm listening to all kind of music from rock to pop to heavy metal etc etc.

Hopefully any of the sifu can help me on this.

u just go get the westone ES2 cable or UE 11 cable , then ur earphone can be using back again .

I've been looking around hard and can't seem to see any threads around here that recommends a good headphone below RM350 for a basshead like me; or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. I listen mainly to techno and J-rock/metal(?), prefer to be able to hear bass clearly (especially from bass guitars and all all those lovely electronic/tweeter/whatever they are supposed to be called songs) because I hope to be able to take up bass guitar lessons when I'm no longer such a poor sod.

Being new at all this stuff (it simply began with wanting more out of the music I listen to), I'm not really very sure what I should look out for. Frankly, it seems as if anything in that price range just doesn't offer the 'volume' in bass I want, yet not compromised too much on the other ends.

I know I sound greedy here (cheap yet good on all ends? HA!) and I'm too long-winded but anyway, recommendations?

so you got urself ATH-M30 eh? how much is it? M30 isn't for basshead as for it's neutral, monitoring sounding.

as for the Sony recommendation, best if you can try those headphones out yourself before deciding it. i quote that one since it's said to be bassy, and easily available.

Well from what I've read, the A500 does have good bass but like I said it's out of my budget since it's around RM700+? ^^; Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money.

Yea, long use will make you sweat all over them.

Still, i find close cans (earcups) to be the most comfortable for long usage. Open cans not so much.

HD6XX, go on try it lol.

- requires f***ing lot of amping
- low cost to buy, high effing cost to use
- very relaxed, natural tone, VERY GOOD FOR JAZZ AND CLASSICAL

-but omfg the most effing comfy headphone out there evar!

then again i dont listen it in hot and humid conditions, heck my headphone can be said to be my ear muffs athome
