Considering between Sennheiser HD201 or Audio-Technica ATH T22 or T24. Im in the UK at the moment and HD201 is retailing at 12 GBP on Amazon (including shipping tongue.gif ) Thats around RM60 after coversion to RM? The AT headphones aren't as cheap though. About GBP21 for T22 and GBP26 for T44. OR I could just pick up a pair of ATH T22's from Akabane when im back in Msia this Summer tongue.gif

Wish I could but paying over 30 pounds for a pair of headphones at the moment is a no no. HD555 and HD595 cost around GBP80-90+ on Amazon sweat.gif

Just thought that 12 pounds for HD201 is a really good price.

Low end senns don't really justify their price... Better get others like philips or sony..

Hey guys, would like to purchase a new set of headphones/iems. Budget about RM200. I'm looking at Koss KSC-75, Crossroad Mylarone Bijou and Razer or is there any better suggestions? Thanks for your time.

I would personally recommend Shure SCL2(now they called it Se102 I think) and Bijou. Shure has high clarity with moderate bass whereas Bijou is for basshead.

Guys,

Received my parcel yesterday from Amazon for Sennheiser CX300. Opened the package and checked the IEM and I believe it is a genuine piece. However I find the packaging and build quality is not up to par when compared with my Sony MDR-E848 which I have been using for 6 years. Well, I am just doing simple comparison I paid RM100 for the Sony 6 years ago and the build quality is far more superb than CX300.

If I am not mistaken in Msia the CX300 sells for RM2++? I paid RM60 for it after conversion and man I am dissapointed with it. The looks on the cable does not justify the price I would say, especially when the cable are separated into two strands which makes it looks like FOC earphone. On the other hand the Sony's cable has reflective finish and has more tenderness than CX300. Am I alone in thinking the build quality sucks? Sorry for Sennheiser fans I am just being honest.

Ok, enough of finishing and build, lets move to SQ. Plugged into desktop (office pc as I was working, no additional amp or souncard) and listened to Madonna, Dean Martin. First impression was that it went into the ear canal and blocked outside noise. Played a few tracks and I would say the clarity on this CX300 is better than MDR-E848 although still not burn in yet. Soundstage is wider with clear separation of vocals and instruments, something that the Sony failed to do. Ah yes, it is fast and dynamic. Applause for that!!

A look at the package it says that "Bass Driven Sound" and I believe it means the bass is superb. Played a few trance songs from DJ Tiesto (which I still keep during my youngster days) and the bass does not impress me much, on par with E848. Apart from the bass has faster attack I can't find any better of it.

I am a home cinema fan and this is my second piece of earphone so I don't have much experience / knowledge on this. I do not know how good a RM2++ earphone should be but Sennheiser CX300 let me down by its build.

I am just sharing my own experience as I was very eager to purchase a Sennheiser since ages ago. I chose CX300 based on review on WHF and have not tested any dedicated audiophile earphone / headphone. My opinion might vary with other users.

Cheers

Hi there i'm not experience in audiophile (don't even know what does it mean audiophile) blink.gif and its the first time i want to buy a proper and good earphones....

Anyway my budget is within the range of Rm100 - Rm300 (Earphones + Amp) (Stretchable Budget up to 500 if the both combination is a Very Very Good Pairs as i'm planning for long term usage for like another 3 yrs and above)

did very little survey... currently have my eyes on Soundmagic PL30 + FiiO E3 (if anyone is selling this in pakage please pm and quote me)

Please provide me more suggestions or options for me to choose from.... althought i do hope that i get a chance to try the given options to justify with my own ears....

Additional information on what my preference will be:

- Currently still using IPod Nano (1G) not using any special Sound Cards for my PC/Laptops
- Usage is mostly on working and travelling (Musics 1st , Movie 2nd and Gaming will be the Third) used mostly on outdoors and office... already had Altec Lansing Speakers & Woofer at home...
- Music source is mostly Mp3 when using laptops and ipod formats when outdoor e.g driving or travelling.
- Types of music i listen (Very wide variation) Dance, Jpop , R&B , Rock , Soft Rock , Trance , Electro Music , Bass , Treble , Sentimental , Classical , Jazz, and the list can go on and on .....
- I would prefer IEM's Only ....
- Need recommendation on AMP's as well....
- By the way it is also ok to recommended 2 different sets of Earphone which is Basshead and non bass head.... i guess you guys know what i mean....

I would be glad if you guys can provide me addition links or topics i can read thru .... i would really appreciate with all the help ... hope to hear you guys soon....

P.S if its possible i hope theres a suggestion where to purchase these stuffs... as i have no idea where to start from ... im in kl and will prefer to do COD only.... Thanks... icon_question.gif thumbup.gif
