Dear Citizen of Marioland,

Shigeru has previously confirmed that a Zelda game is under development,
but his highness did not give much details.

We have an analyst that "predicted" a new Zelda game in 2009,

http://kotaku.com/5115962/another-analyst-...-zelda-for-2009

I remember the name of the analyst (Michael Patcher),
he is the one that predicted Nintendo demise after Wii, but he is wrong on that.
I hope he is right on the Zelda prediction.

What do u guys think?
What kind of style u like your Zelda to be presented?

I personally think the next Zelda could be WindWaker / Phantom Hourglass style.
Dunno, just a guess.

Twilight Princess was awesome. The dark and mature theme really made it one of the more hardcore games on the Nintendo Wii, and I would love to see another one utilizing the Wii's power.

With that said, I already love the engine they used in Windwaker, which Twilight Princess used with upgrades. So no change expected for me, just one epic storyline will do thumbup.gif

Maybe a serious two-player Zelda w/ drop-in/out gameplay?

I am hoping of a continuation of Wind Waker / Phantom Hourglass story actually,
and it would be nice if they could connect the DS to Wii,
much like Animal Crossing (Wii) & Zelda Wind Waker (GC)

Yes, Twilight Princess is excellent.... but i still hope it is in Wind Waker style.
But anyway, ANY ZELDA games will do! (Not Crossbow training sorry)

Yes, any Zelda game would do. But the way I meant is that they use the same engine(refined) for controls and whatnot. Battle controls are full of fun.

Also worth mentioning, the moves from Windwaker(WW) brought over to Twilight Princess(TP) is the same, but the execution is different! That was awesome. Love the engine.

But I'm straying away from top-down prespective Zeldas.

On the Kotaku link above, they said it may be a sequel for TP, I'll all for that biggrin.gif

I know it is kinda politically incorrect,
but I hope they would allow us to use Wavebird instead of Wiimote,
Like Mario Kart Wii & Smash Bro.

Also I hope there is some sort of connection to DS,
and naturally Phantom Hourglass would be used as the basis if this is to be done.
In this case, it is logical that the new Wii Zelda will be continuation of WW & PH,
hence the art style would also follow WW & PH.

Anyway, I will be equally happy if it is a TP sequel.
But i think the in this case, DS connection might not be less possible.

And I agree, TP's dark & mature mood, style are great,
i almost got depression and emotional from playing it tongue.gif

same engine?? rclxub.gif i dunno i used to think RE4 engine is still pretty solid and can be put to good use on the Wii but when i see it Dead Rising Wii running on it, i think it should be laid to rest for good.

can't say the same about the TP/WW engine since i have yet to try both game but built from the ground up specifically for the Wii sounds a lot better t me. whistling.gif

WW/TP engine runs great on GameCube.

I have yet to try TP on Wii, so I cannot confirm whether it is good. But Sihumcai seems to like it, so I assume it runs fabulous on Wii.

why_79 u should get WW to play, it is sweet, nice and very very engaging.

got got....got both TP & WW NGC editions to play on my wii, just haven't got the chance to try them yet. biggrin.gif

TP Wii should be about the same as TP NGC but i got the NGC version because 1) the purists reckon it's more faithful to the series 2) it should be more valuable/rare in the future. the collector in me often lead me to make such absurd decisions since i have a Wii and naturally should have gotten the Wii edition instead. shakehead.gif

^ OKK spotted. rolleyes.gif

if ninty was smart about it and actually make the contents and box art different then perhaps, esp since NGC users got shafted and had to wait for the NGC version a bit longer.

I only collect, never play and finish a single Zelda game before blush.gif

Non leveling isn't my type of ARPG, prefer Secret of Mana for SNES type smile.gif

You know guys, I think if Nintendo gave the option for us to customize our own Link then it would be awesome! Why just limit customization to Link's name? I never bother changing it. Now if we were given the option to change Link's tunic from green to whatever color you desire, that is a step in the right direction. Or maybe even Link's gender. Now that would be something.

For those of you who disagree, think back why Link is named Link. Miyamoto wanted Link to be the link between us and the games, hence the name 'Link'. Get it? So why limit our expression of individuality to just the name? Shouldn't we be allowed to express more?

P/S: I know in some games like Ocarina of Time and Minish Cap you can change the color of your tunic but that is more of a powerup that is necessary to pass some of the areas of the game. In the case of Minish Cap, it doesn't last long enough.

if the new zelda might be out in 2009...this is where hardcore zelda fans must know the time line in where the next zelda game is suitable in that timeline like this video:

part 1

part 2

bear in mind that this vid was made before the release of TP. i recommend you guys watch this
if you all say like "why is it always the name zelda" or "the name link" it answers a few questions
but raise a few more question too..

so the next game will be somewhat a prequel of WW and sequel of TP because:(seriously a real big spoiler who doesn't play WW)

Some Japanese developer put up Zelda-like teaser on their website.

Honestly if it turned out to be something disappointing (Exp, Not a real Zelda), i would be rather annoyed.

Could it be..... a Brain Training game featuring Link?
I will be absolutely mad at Nintendo if they did that.

The site that feature a Zelda like countdown clock,
the countdown is over. And

IT IS NOT A ZELDA GAME

but some PSP game, a Zelda-wannabe kind of game i guess.

Me pretty angry here honestly.
