If there's only 3 games i want to play with? I'll probably ignore live too.
Is it suffice by just getting arcade?

Um, why only 3 games? when you can have tons of great games,
Well Live mostly for social use i guess.. You already own a PC/Laptop so Live isnt that much good.. Well, getting an arcade, that 1 i cant confirm, all i know is, if you care less about Live, playing modded xbox is worth it.. |

Just to be on the safe side. I'm actually tight with my budget and Planning to concentrate on buying PS3 version games if they are multiplatform. The only 3 games that's not multiplatform atm were Infinite undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia and the upcoming SO4. So yeah...

So yeah... i bought 360 just to play vesperia back to the main topic, right now maybe it is suffice to buy arcade, but who knows in the future u might regret it because 360 HDD is way too expensive. why not opted for 60gb premium version? it is still cheaper compared to ps3 (if not mistaken) This post has been edited by tidus2k: Dec 23 2008, 01:09 AM |

Well, you know. I'm quite paranoid about RROD. Besides if most of your games are 360 version, wouldn't it be troublesome if your console break. At least if my 360 died, i still have a bunch of games i can play with PS3.

I'm getting both btw. The 3 games i mentioned above were the only reason tha force me to buy 360. That's why i asked if it is just enough by getting arcade.

if your interest at the moment is only 3 games, why not try swapping your ps3 with an xbox owner for 1or2 months come March/April?
who knows, u may end up liking it very much and buy 1 permanent unit |

QUOTE(Sairenji @ Dec 22 2008, 10:46 PM) Well, live is kinda irrelevant whether you use arcade/premium/elite.If i were to start fresh right now, i would buy an arcade. The arcade has a higher spec than my premium (2 Years old dy) anyway with the HDMI port. But take note, you need a HDMI CABLE or a COMPOSITE cable if you have LCD TV coz standard is only RCA cable. HDMI cable only cost about 20 bucks at carrefour so no biggie. You can always pick up a 20gb hdd in the LYN thread later on if you decide to keep the xbox. The 256mb memory card should suffice most games unless you're playing forza motorsports 2 May i know what 3 games that you want that ps3 dont have? Viva Pinata, Viva Pinata: Party Animals and Rayman Raving rabbids? |

you can read the buyer's guide in this section. that should explain more than half of your question. falcon and jasper is the major revision of xbox360, with jasper being the latest one.
Sairenji, if you're really tight on budget, just choose the arcade 360. since tales of vesperia and infinite undiscovery is not going to benefit from HDD (even if u install the games, loading time improve a little bit). but I'm not sure about the upcoming SO4. hope that helps. Since you wanna 3 games only, you might want to consider buy 20gb HDD.
You have no idea how noisy the DVD drive can be when playing games. |

QUOTE(shakiraa @ Dec 28 2008, 11:57 PM) Install NXE to your xbox (connect to LIVE normally, and you'll be forced to update). In the menu before starting game, press Y for option and select install to hard drive. Later on you just need to put the DVD on the drive start the game normally. It'll automatically load from HDD. No more noise from the DVD drive. Cheers ps: if you take out disc while playing, you'll be force to quit the game. even though it loads from HDD This post has been edited by tidus2k: Dec 29 2008, 01:39 AM |
