i don't mean to attack you personally, its just im really sick of so many people who only know how to put on t-shirt and jeans.. anything different is considered over-dressed..
i went out for a drink yesterday and was wearing a dress shirt (one with epaulates and double pockets on the chest) with SHORTS and sneakers.. and one of my friends could actually ask me "hey why you dressing so formal?"
Added on December 17, 2009, 3:30 pmtrue what you said about difference in one's preference.. but you have to understand that actually there are proper definitions about what is considered casual, semi-casual, formal, etc.. and as were talking about the english attire, there are actually proper dress codes to follow when attending special events such as prom, funerals, black-tie event, etc..
I think it's totally depending on who you mingle with... like if that friend of urs likes to wear shorts + selipar... when he saw you of coz he'll say you're overdressed... but since u said you're going for a drink .. I agree with what you wore..
but the guy is going to pcfair hmm.... but anyway my dress codes are my own codes, I wear what I like confidently. I wear skinny pants + long sleeve shirt + earrings on both sides. That's my casual movie outfit.. and definitely will wear the same style to PC fair, hence my POV towards Fusion's choice is different....
Well the situation is like this la .. U have 2 friends, a trendy korean + a smart looking aussie...
when they bump to each other, you'll have 2 diff POV towards 2 different styles. Aussie will asked of the PURPLE shirt/earring on both sides on the korean lad.
Korean will asked of the overly-dressed aussie who is wearing something like what Fusion is wearing.
Both of them are not wrong, only
DIFFERENT.
