Try to reinstall Kaspersky? Make sure your key is not fake/pirated/illegal (blacklisted), highly doubt it though. Or you can manually update Kaspersky.

It takes a bloody long time to update Karsperksy for new install.

Either:
1) leave it overnight for 1 or 2 days to update.

2) Manual install updates - this is not so straight foward. You need to search for some packaged files with latest update, download this file and change some settings in Karsperksy to read from this file. After this, just do the normal online update to retrieve the latest updates which will be much faster as you have more recent database already.

Actually, most of the time. When I install KAV/KIS '08 or '09. I re-download the installer cause it's such a small file size (not more than 30MB+/-). Once I install the trial, I just enter my original serial number or attach my original key file and I'm good to go.

Hope come ya'll are experiencing long download times for Kaspersky updates? I found an old KAV '08 installer and once I installed it, it updated automatically for me during installation in 30 minutes. blink.gif

Why'd you have to buy another Kaspersky? Can't you download the installer and use your existing license?

I've asked my friend who lives in KL who is using KAV '09 and he's not having problem updating. Mind posting the version of your KAV, make sure that your key isn't blacklisted.
