connecting to xbox live - help

i was thinking of connecting to xbox live but my modem is in another room so i was thinking was it worth it to get the x360 wireless adapter or just get a really long cable? i dont think there is a cable long enough tho so is thr anything i can use to connect 2 lan cables together? ty for help

First time i use a very long cable, very messy, coz have kid at home Later found out , i just on my laptop , put beside my XBOX and plug the ethernet cable PC to XBOX. |

i have a laptop which i use a lot closer to the xbox than where the modem is, does that mean i can connect the xbox to my laptop which is connected to the internet wirelessly and i would be able to connect to xbox live?

Yup, that is what i'm having now. Don't know network term, but hope you understand1. Connect XBOX to laptop using ethernet cable 2. Double click on wireless connection 3. Click properties 4. Go to Advance 5. Check "Allow other network ...." make sure you choose the correct in the Home networking connection 6. Click ok 7. At the same time look at the TV for Network conf, it will change auto 8. Right Click on the LAN icon (Laptop to XBOX), and choose repair You can also browse internet in your laptop, while downloading new games in XBOX... Done. er, xde ar baru sgt, around 2 weeks ago, cume skrang je try LIVE,
lagi few days later sure kene banned ar, Now, i need to play the same game again, to unlock achievements. |

Um, how do i set up using the laptop if its using Vista?
I mean, yeah i did go advance/properties.. and press Allow.. all i get is unable to connect to internet.. Before, the wireless work fine, until i change the properties.. gimme full guide please.. For now, i've been putting the xbox just beside my computer.. hot and taking risk of RROD |
