Hi Guys, Am an iPhone newbie here. Need to ask iPhone sifus here. I was making a call (was ringing) and i press the speaker phone button, it gives me a sharp noise and ended my call prematurely. Not only that, my maxis signal was from full bar went to zero and asked me to reenter my sim unlocked code again. Re-enter again and tried again still the same thing even I did a pwr off n on the iPhone. Firmware : 2.2 Model : iPhone 3G (16GB) Origin : Singtel (Singapore) Hope you sifus can help me... If this topic is a duplicate can help me to redirect? Thank!

i think you can use POwerFull SOlution for it,,,,restore...
but make sure you have back up your data before restore your firmware back,
if the problem still happend than i guess 1 answer for it, it hardware error. but those "sharp noise" and also "enter sim unloked again and again" seems software error...
anyway give it a try and happry restoring.( if you want to restore it).
btw before this have something happend to your iphone.? drop or got splash by water etc.?

Restoring? arrgghh...that's the one i tried to avoid...anyway if prb still persists then haf to restore no choice...
never drop my iPhone or splash water...protected my iPhone very well. It happened just this morning only, before that i could use my speaker on without prb. Aih...

Weird, I've been using speaker phone on mine, while moving around the room I'm in, nothing of sorts happened. The "Call redirect" popup still comes out, but that is a minor annoyance.

ok...here is the weirdest thing just happened a moment ago. I used my earphones plugin to make the call and was ringing fine in the earphones n i press the speaker on, this time the sharp buzz noise continuously buzzing non stop even i took out my earphones. Haf to force shutdown by pressing the on/off switch n slide to pwr off. or else it will continue buzzing non stop through the speaker.... aih...

Looks like it is more than something that can be fixed via Restore. Possibly hardware-related too. No harm giving that Restore a try. Otherwise......
