Very true, some might smell nice to you but smells like crap for someone else.. You need to sniff them out yourselves, first on the blotter strip then on your skin.. And also, try to look for oriental/woody/aromatic/sensual type scents as the aquatic fresh type fragrances are starting to get boring.. smile.gif

Fragrances in the >100 price range are almost all designer brands and have similar high quality.. What you really want to categorize is 'mainstream' and 'niche' brands.. Mainstream brands are like CK, Hugo, Bvlgari, Burberry, etc. Basically stuff you can find in stores everywhere. Mainstream scents are more 'commercial' in a sense that they rarely experiment with exotic smells and new scent mixes.. Thus, they are more acceptable by the public..

Niche brands on the other hand are more radical with their scents and most of them turn out very unique and distinctive. But some people might not like them as well as others.. That is why they cater to a smaller market and are limited in availability. They also cost a bit more than mainstream perfumes.. Examples of niche brands are like L'Artisan, Lorenzo Villoresi, and Creed..

Those generic perfumes smell bad of the rack generally... That's why they are so cheap.. For mass market perfumes, you are better off with Adidas, Brut, P&G,...
