Hi,

Just wondering, is it possible to use a US-version Wii Console in Malaysia? If I used it with a power converter from 110V to 220-240 V?

Bought one one day and it's great. smile.gif Will be heading back to Malaysia in another couple of days.

Hmm...also, how do you guys shop on the Wii channel if you don't have a US Credit Card? Where do you buy the Wii points for it?

Yes. You can use a US Wii in Malaysia, make sure you use a Power Converter, if possible add a Electricity Stabilizer (Optional) to protect your Wii from power surge. Tenaga National is pretty sucks at maintaining a stable power supply.

If you don't have a US credit card, you can use a Malaysia Credit Card by doing the "Brazil Hack". This is simple, simply change your Country Setting to Brazil, and you are ready to go. Please note that only MasterCard and Visa cards are accepted, no Diner's Club, American Express or etc.

Hi myremi!

welcome to the club!  thumbup.gif

anyway, you can either get a step down convertor, or if you happen to drop by in KL, go visit Jusco, MV. There's an Official Nintendo Kiosk there, where you can get an official 220v power adapter.

Have fun!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh no, Don't use the official 220v Adapter on your US Wii,
it will fry your US Wii.
always use the 110v Adapter that come with your US Wii + a Step DOWN power converter.
