QUOTE(ston3r @ Sep 19 2009, 02:35 PM) Added on September 19, 2009, 2:39 pm sorry no one answered to your query chronozome. Unfortunately, i'm not a fan of supercharging coz it's really uneconomical to do so. I prefer top end power, hence all my previous rides were turbo, started with a Wira GSR, then a Mazda B8 turbo and finally a 180SX S13 with SR20DET, which introduced me to the world of over steer. The altezza's my first N/A with dual VVTi. I'm not sure about superchargers for vios but there are turbo kits out there. Superchargers are more popular for AE111/101. Good luck in your search. To all Muslim members, Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir Batin. Have a safe drive back to your respective hometowns i primarily focus on getting enough torque at the low end to get the car faster out of corners, that's why i think superchargers are ideal for my setup |

hi guys...it's been a long while since i posted in here.
anyway, seeking advice from the sifus and otais here. i realised i've asked this question before, but i'm hoping now that there would be someone who would be able to help out. my vios warranty is almost up and i'm looking at starting a supercharger project for my car. i personally prefer superchargers instead of turbochargers. not really interested in top end speeds, but more towards torque and generally getting off the line faster, as vios generally are slower to pick up from stationary. so i did some searching and most links pointed to Blitz or Trust/GReddy superchargers for 1NZ-FE(Scion xA, xB, Yaris), but not much clue on getting the stuff here. are there any shops in particular(in the klang valley) that carry these products? if so, how much of a projected budget am i looking at for this project? what are the expected problems associated with a bolt on supercharger set up? will i need to retune to match our running temperature? thank you very much in advance This post has been edited by chronozome: Nov 4 2010, 03:56 AM |
