QUOTE(D.Sync @ May 1 2010, 08:57 PM) Any comment about Toyota Rush in terms of fuel consumption and maintenance? i was a toyota rush user, the fuel consumption is rm0.18/ km. For me, it is quite high FC (compare to toyota vios - FC=rm0.11/ km). Anyhow, be extra alert, bcos my rush has just been stolen 1 month ago (Well, i will be getting the offer letter of the insurance claim probably by next wk). No doubt it is spacious but too high FC lahhh. This post has been edited by happy invest: May 1 2010, 11:11 PM

IMO, It all depends on how you drive. Frequent heavy acceleration sure wont gives you good fuel consumption. And btw, rush is 1.8 isnt it ? Vios 1.5 only. The combustion of vios is not that powerful compared to rush, thus causing a higher fuel consumption. Yeap. Tyres has expiry dates. But my dad dont want to change for me ahah .. cause driving for short distance only. Drive to school and around m own housing area only. It still provides good traction on wet roads and turnings.

Its one of the most bumpy SUVs( or cars for that matter) I've ever seated in.

Your fren is right. but the expiry date for tyre is 4 years fr the manufacturing date. unless you brought the old stocks.

Michelin give 6 yrs, Toyo 7 Yrs... standard is 5 yrs manufacturing warranty so the expiry is 5 yrs... but that depends if your tire do no have any minor cracks at the side wall u can still use it... my uncle use CC1 for 8 yrs no problem, town drive only... so depends also, but recommended to check the tire condition monthly for cracks... if there is any cracks then u need to change it already although u still have 50% of thread left

hi all stfu,
i am interested to buy altis and considering 1.8e or 1.8g
is it worthy to spend 8k for this:
The Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8G adds:
■Chrome side protection mould and door handles ■6-disc in-dash CD changer with MP3 and WMA support ■6 speakers ■4-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel with wood trim ■8-way electrically adjustable power driver’s seat ■Wood grain finishing on centre console, dash and door panels ■Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)

If you drive on hi-speed frequently, take the G spec.

Would like to update my profile, already change my previous car (Vios) to to a new Corolla Altis 1.8G with pearl white colour, love the ride very much and the colour.
Just get the 1.8G version if you able to afford, no regret at all. Heard that 2.0V is coming in this August and will be cost RM10,000 more than the current 1.8G version, so expected will be around RM130,000. Compare to Honda Civic, RM130,000 2.0V Corolla Altis is a good deal, since it's fully imported from Thailand. The quality is totally different there, and the comfort too.
