Family is growing, hence the MPV. We would prefer a Estima or Alphard from Toyota.

My aunt have the first generation Estima, I drive it some times for family outing. Quite nice but I think her's is a 3.0l. I am eyeing on a 2.4l Estima (maybe 2nd or 3rd generation). It does not matter if its unreg from a gray importer or used.

I have never ride in an Alphard before but seems like many buyer go for Alphard these days. Why? Additionally, Alphard is 3.0 or 2.4l?

Will MPVs like Estima / Alphard be underpowered at 2.4l?

alphard 2.4 variant is quite under power. use to drive a relative's alphard 2.4. with 5 adult on board, the engine struggle to go further even on highway. it lose out to the hyundai starex 2.5td in term of space and power.
the v6 variant of alphard is a better option for frequent outstation drive.
hyundai starex = practical and sensible + value for money.
alphard = more of a statement over practicality. get the v6.

only ride before 2nd gen estima and 1st gen alphard , both are 3.0 V6 , good performance .... and as i know for alphard better go for 3.0 , why ? because it's blardy darn heavy , 2.4 will be a bit tough if full loaded... smile.gif

Hi to all Toyota fans,
I have a question regarding fuel consumption on my Toyota Corolla 1.6SEG (Auto) AE101 model. What is average fuel consumption for this model of car? Mine is about 0.22 sen/km shocking.gif . I am not sure this is normal or not cause Vios model only consume about 0.16 sen/km. Appreciate your feedback. Many thanks

1st not all is Toyota Fans buy owner...

2nd u are comparing a new technology VS old ones sweat.gif... wake up la... u are driving an old car and u expect it has similar FC with better fuel save technology???
my 5AFE (1.5L JDM Spec) AE100/101 is about 20+cent/km... depends how u drive, the traffic, the tire and of course if there is a lot of up hills then cannot say lo...

Any Toyota Corolla 1.6SEG owner care to share their FC. I am not sure this is normal or anything wrong with my engine or not.

wow! if u are getting 22cents per km for a 1.6cc, then i think my altezza with a 3SGE 2.0cc is pretty good. I'm getting 19cents a km. This is for combined figures.
