Yes the keyword is IF. But usually that doesn't always happen in toys.

Well TF is a mass produced toys, by a toy company where main aim is PROFIT. They're not ART or highly limited editions where the producers promised to keep them limited (like watches/pens).  When they found out certain mould/toy is highly in demand, there are high chance they will mass produce them again  . Just look at Movie Bumblebee last year (how many of that mould end up in different packaging, from a single carded, to "Evolution of a hero", then repaints somemore). And what about MP01 Prime ? The toy company NEVER promise to keep them limited, to ensure the toy becoming a true "collectable".  Some toy shops might use the same tune when enquired and said 'oh .. this one Hasbro will never reissue again etc etc" to justify their x3 than retail price, and what a typical toy collector (typical= NOT RICH) do ? Nod head and heed the superiority of their comments, since they are in the toy business, hence know better? LOL. Toy shops need to make $$$ too, we understand. but doesn't mean ALL of their product prices are justifiable.

I am talking in the shoes of a typical toy collector that wishes to own their preferred toys at a decent price, NOT those very special ones that is hell-bent on getting specific themed toys (like All Primes, All Megatron only, All G1), even though the price are exorbicant.

I'm sure a $1000++ REISSUE Predaking will seem only reasonable for the "collectors" which one of the two characteristics:

- rich enough to have passion to complete their collection.
- thinking they bought it for $1k++ for the sake of keeping it for a year or two, then "consider" goreng it again for $2k++ (yeah, right. Collect toys to keep , then sell to a large profit margin, and still proudly consider themselves having passion for that specific toylines).

I believe in any toylines, many serious collectors trying to "increase" the toys status qou (to the standard of rolex/art paintings), so what they collected, can really be worth alot in the future . But for the rest of us , ALL WE WANT are toys at a decent price. if serious collectors wanted their toys to be really worth x3 or x10 in the future, why not considering inspecting their toy and ensuring they are virtually flawless like no paint smearing*  etc etc , before pricing them so?

*I'm sure they can't coz its MISB , understood. But then again.. that MISB are one of the tens of thousand toy mass produced in a factory by underpaid workers, so the quality is NOT COLLECTORS worthy grade either.

Not goreng.... this is misconception that everyone have after vintage toy
become very expensive.

Furthermore, Transformers cartoon happened 20 years ago. Now we are the one
who watch that cartoon who is finding the vintage toy. But another 20 years, I don't
think there's any 30 years old person who watch G1 cartoon anymore....
You don't get it don't you. This is not matter of preference or economic. Its matter of whether
you want to make yourself (seller) look like a scalper or make other like a fool (buyer).
No. I saw a lot of seller scalp the toy and sell after the market is getting lesser. This type
of scalper seller is majority. I'm not talking about famitoys.
This is quite idiotic. I see a lot of Ebay buyer bid until higher than retail price certain
item that still not that rare. If that's not idiotic, then what is it?
You're giving a lousy example. Oil is consider a necessity. But toys, come on la. Its just a toy.
