Tmnet did reroute through pacific Side, but just that they squeeze and congested the already congested US line. Our US line/pacific line usage is more like 90% already, and then Tmnet squeeze those Europe webuser into this area, thus making a lot of packet get dropped due to insufficient bandwidth. Which it explains why would a US line lag after the Europe cable was broken.
Another issue is
one thing I would wonder why would a undersea cable so fragile that a normal Ship anchor or Earth quake can broke that cable? Those cows who build those cables is stupid. It is building a watch(clock) without water resistant.
