Anyone having issues with FXCM login? Ever since I came back from Australia, I can't login my FXCM account using streamyx. I checked the latency and it is very high.

Anyone having similar problem?

Today I shorted both Euro and GBP against Yen and USD. Nice profit rclxms.gif

Now, need to find way not to give back the profits sweat.gif in future trades.

I am using FXCM Micro. Started off with US$1000.

E/J made a crazy surge upward yesterday NY opening time. Caught offguard and losing about $200. Luckily it retraced back and I shorted on th way down. Manage to make some peanut profit.

Same pattern happening now. Going down and might surge up again tonight

what do u mean use stocks and options to hedge against your losses?
It means that when you profit at forex, you lose at stocks and options and vice versa right?

Isn't this a zero-sum game where both profits and losses will be canceled and balanced out?

Mine also.. Micro live account hehe

I haven't traded this week due to lagging problem.
FXCM says it's Malaysia related issue since a lot of people from Malaysia have complained already.
In fact, it's a streamyx issue. All the streamyx users suffer from it..
The traceroute to fxcm has many timeouts in between

Streamyx is useless for FXCM. If you want better connectivity, try Celcom broadband. I am using it at the moment and the refresh rate is much better now. It will cost you RM68 /month, but I think it is worth it.

Anyone using pivot for trading? If yes, what is the time frame taken to calculate the previous day high, low and close?

I can't seem to add 200SMA to my charts using FXCM? Anyone have any idea how to include this indicator in FXCM Micro?

i'm using fxcm

pivot points are not working
btw, can you login? do you use streamyx?
I cannot login at all, yesterday and today..
lagging all the time
anyone knows a good proxy?

I use Celcom BB for my FXCM. Streamyx is hopeless and too risky if you want to close the trades immediately. The Celcom BB is quite fast in opening and closing trades on the chart.

Celcom only cost RM68/month. I think it is worth the money, at least for trading purpose. I still use streamyx for everyday use.

i am using a mini account with start up capital of 250AUD...i started scalping and made 1k+, after that i trade with other strategies (fibonacci, pivot point) and that cost me everything. In the end i need to fork out more money, now i am back to scalping...oh ya...usually i will buy 10k lots but when i have enough capital i will tend to buy 30-50k lots....Please help me!!! Other than scalping i can't find of a better way to trade....(most ways doesn't work for me) icon_question.gif

Why change your strategy when it is giving you good gains? Go back to your earlier strategy or analyse it why you were making good money than compared to now.

Get a non-dealing desk broker. The transactions are fully automated. But try to avoid placing stops at round numbers. I normally place it a few pips lower. If you are dealing with GBP pairs, make sure the stops are large enough (at least 80 pips). I used to have 60 pips stops, but most of the time got hit at minus 70pips before reversing to hit your target vmad.gif

I am not sure whether izit true, but nah...i am gonna stick it my current broker. Will avoid placing SL at the place that most retail trader will place eg above/below fib line etc.

I think ECN brokers will require large deposits and the trade size are standard 100K ($10/pip). Furthermore, the leverage is not high enough.
