@penanghome (if you still lurk this corner of the forums)
RM1.5k earn rm1k-2k a month? i have a friend that made his account grow from USD600 to USD1800... in forex its possible.. but based on what you know, please donate the rm1.5k to charity instead rather then trying out forex because when ur mindset is wrong, u will lose all your trades. the "basic" stuff that you covered I would say is only 2% of forex and no I am not exaggerating. Ask elite members here and they would tell you that (AdamG, mphpopular, bulkbiz and so on)

To new traders. Welcome to forex. If you think it is easy, think again. If you expect unreasonably huge returns, good luck to you.

Would like to correct a few people about the opinions on forex. We are ALLOWED to trade forex but a broker operating in Malaysia is NOT ALLOWED.

Correct me if i'm wrong but the only people in Malaysia that are not allowed to trade forex are Islams because it seems that it is against their religion to short sell. Please do correct me regarding the Islam part as I read it from somewhere and it may not be totally reliable.

And the other question about fx. FX markets is 24/7 BUT some brokers prevent the buying and selling at the end of the friday and re-opens on monday at a specific time depending on broker.

For those that use oanda you can even execute an order now as mentioned FX market is 24/7 and oanda is one of the brokers that allows execution on a weekend but however the spreads are insanely high during the weekends.

To answer another question, there are brokers that allows you to trade with as low as USD1. However it would be pointless as the wiring fee and misc. charges already is about USD 20-30 in total.

The sifu has spoken. smile.gif

Forex trading isnt easy if you do not have a mentor. Sure u can understand the technicals but it would be a big headache to fully understand fundamentals.

Once again.. sifu G predicts it right biggrin.gif

Added on July 2, 2009, 10:24 pmAfter this rule takes place. WELCOME TO OANDA ! biggrin.gif

this ruling doesn't affect oanda users. Just clarified with the broker. It seems the stop loss and limit order on oanda works differently and its not affected by the nfa ruling. Will need to clarify after 31st July 2009 smile.gif see if they are lying or oanda just rocks tongue.gif

yes they are under nfa. However they allow flexibility in trading.. you can even trade 1 unit which is 0.0001 cent per pip. Somehow they say they are not affected by the ruling. Oanda isnt on mt4.
