Get a non-dealing desk broker. The transactions are fully automated. But try to avoid placing stops at round numbers. I normally place it a few pips lower. If you are dealing with GBP pairs, make sure the stops are large enough (at least 80 pips). I used to have 60 pips stops, but most of the time got hit at minus 70pips before reversing to hit your target vmad.gif

I think ECN brokers will require large deposits and the trade size are standard 100K ($10/pip). Furthermore, the leverage is not high enough.

As i think trade with those brokers under CFTC or NFA are more safe, although there still got a risk but at least control by US gov, better than those in Cyprus.

Almost every company I've came across offer free demo account. I'm personally using PFG FX trader's demo account. Learning how to steadily gain 5-10 pips a day. Not a lot of money but consistency is the key to success right?

I see your point. Probably the good ones are from Malaysia and the poor traders are also from Malaysia. I've seen a lot of Malaysians loosing money because of greed and impatience. Sad case.

Malaysia this country got a lot oversea ppl never heard about the name before, you can see that malaysia is not quite famous among all stuff compare to other countries but i believe there are a lot hidden dragon inside still haven't awake. Yes, i agree your point too, malaysian although a lot active in forex but there still got a lot ppl losing money because of greedy & impatience and even most of them already given up to forex trading. There are a lot different kinds of ppl in malaysia. Why i said malaysia got a lot hidden dragon? This is all affected by the country management forcing some of the ppl to do that, are you the one?

It's not about gambling or not (which is obviously NOT), it's about leverage thingy. Thanks for answering though. biggrin.gif

If any of you guys have any reading material, fatwa etc about forex (leverage) in islam, please feel free to post it here. rclxms.gif

Seriously I know a lot of Muslims investing in forex. It's not a gamble and if you work for it, there's barely any luck involved (in my opinion). What's wrong with the leverage? To me leverage is like a voltage transformer that's all. hmm.gif

there's some ustad said that we can play forex....and some of them say cannot too....u can check it at zaharuddin.net i think..or refer at c a r i g o l d ...there has been discussing about halal and haram in forex....

for me...as long as the broker said there's an Islamic account like No swap..then i go through in this trading...

we buy and sell currency...we not gamble...we trade base on what we read/we study the economic situation ...

halal and haram in forex was about leverage isn't? what do you understand about leverage?
we can buy big lot with less money? heheh...
