My Bangkok Tailored suit just arrived today...
since i only had one fitting session (spent too short of a time in BKK), the fitting of some parts are not satisfactory Sleeves too long, waist could be alittle more fitting, didnt get the peak lapels i requested for, buttons seems a little too high. and the way one side rests over the other at the front seems "off". maybe cos its been bundled up during the delivery... i'll see hot that goes over time. not too happy bout the buttons style on the sleeves too well, its my first custom tailored suit since 7 years, so its still the best piece in my wardrobe now 8500THB (approx RM850) for 2 piece suit. well, at least i will know what to tell him to change if i ever do make another suit with him |

OH Thanks for putting them pics up!!!!
yeah, my measurements are around there... cos i do gym training so i managed to bulked up a little bit i had to pull the sleeves out for it to show... otherwise, i think they would sink in naturally and not show... i'll see what i can do with the pants. Thanks for the input i had some shirts tailored from the same guy too, i'll get pics of those soon and post em up as well. edit: oh yeah, the pic quality is so bad that i cant see the top pocket on the left chest -.-" This post has been edited by Neek: Feb 18 2010, 12:32 AM |

tapering was what i was thinking too when u mentioned that the sleeves looked too big. the cuffs really do look too huge. |

Kotmj, have u made a suit out of your mohair fresco?
i'm really interested to see how such light material would do as a suit. btw, where do you buy your fabrics from? |

I'm concentrating on shirts and trousers in the short term. Everybody knows where I buy my fabrics. oh well, was hoping to see how that fabric would look like as a suit. do show us when u ever get it done |

QUOTE(crystal_kit85 @ Mar 13 2010, 12:15 AM) I've actually tried on the Hugo Boss itself, well i can't said much about how both of it would be comparable, since the Hugo that i've tried has smaller sizes and the ready made, MTM, are having sizes that are beyond my size, maybe that would have resulted in me having a shift judgement. Never tried it.Besides, I am not saying Hugo is entirely better than a MTM suit, knowing, MTM should always fits you best given it to be MTM. Nevertheless, i am not trying to disgrace any suits here. On contrary, this would be my first suit, and i can't have better judgement than anyone here as most of the forumers in this thread has sound knowledge as to what MTM is about. But my main question here remains as to anyone has ever tried MTM suits from Mastermanshop in KLCC? Would it be a shop under your recommendation? but how do you try a MTM that is beyond your size? o.O probably the tailors sense of style is lacking and isnt too familiar with more modern cuts and fittings. like kotmj said, there are alot of lousy tailors out there. |

QUOTE(silencer @ Apr 7 2010, 03:06 AM) The pic were taken in a hurry, just for reference for ALT suit.....kid mohair cloth with full lining emerzine and horn buttons..... From the back, it looks great.[attachmentid=1515435] [attachmentid=1515436] [attachmentid=1515437] from the front, it doesnt look as waist-ed as expected. issit cos arms are slightly lifted? also, the collars/lapels doesnt seem to be pressed down very well near the top button. seems to stick out the armholes doesnt look that high tho. mebbe its just the lighting. Overall, everything else looks great. sleeves showing. shoulders looks right. beats the crap out of any ready to wear suits. |

QUOTE(kotmj @ Apr 8 2010, 06:41 PM) Just took a second look and I'm not sure I'd even bother with the waist. It looks so good as it is. WOW!!!! Those suits make him look incredible! But here are some pics of a 6' guy with broader shoulders than you with deeply, incredibly waisted jakcets which were the inspiration for mine. bHis name is whoopee and is a memebr of sf. [attachmentid=1518068][attachmentid=1518069][attachmentid=1518070][attachmentid=1518071][attachmentid=1518072][attachmentid=1518073] i've never seen a suit make someone look that great before! small notices: the first 2 suits pockets are on the right. thats rather interesting. his right shoulder also seems a little higher than his left... prolly his posture. but DAMN!!!!! i MUST have a suit that makes me look like that too!!!! $%^&ing awesome!!! |
