QUOTE(FusioneX @ Jun 17 2009, 05:46 PM) Suit porn for the day: Black SB3B wool-blend Topman suit pictured with the S05 slim silk tie that I'm selling. Definitely not my favourite colour for a suit but heck, I love the fit. Added on June 17, 2009, 5:48 pmBoth aforementioned tailors are over your budget and they charge around RM1500 and up for a bespoke suit. Definitely not something you would want unless you really love suits like some of us in this topic or have extra cash to spend. errr.. the topman suit a loose leh

yeow... my new suit... first one in fact.. the tailor in PJ did a good job, well at least he did what i wanted.. he is very patient and listens to what i want. i tried the coat 3 times and altered little here n there before he finished the work. me planning to make another one.. silver color with a softer fabric. errr... first pic the left sleeve a bit shorter coz i did not pull it properly. sorry for poor quality photos. at Jalan TAR, for expensive & high quality fabric, u can try jakel or gulati's silk store.
kamdar and nagoya have thier suiting fabric section too. both have 2 shops along the road. and they do have imported good quality pure wools. cheaper blended ones also available.

yo guys... for those looking for affordable tailor to make ur suits, i have 1 to recommend. it's Gent's Attire at Sea Park PJ.
they charge about RM850 for mixed blend wool (mostly from jap fabric) and RM 1250 for high quality wools imported from england or italy.
you have a wide variety of fabric to choose from. and i'm currently making my 2nd suit there.
for sure the materials used are not like those u get in granoff or lords or watever famous one, but this tailor has more than 25 years of exp in making suits so just bring the photo of the suit u want and tell him to follow. i asked for slim fit for my first suit and it turned out exactly what i wanted.
they also offered to alter my first slack as i feel it's a bit too tight after 3 months. FOC yeah... that's y i am happy and i feel thier after sales service is good.
IMO, you don't necessary have to go for those super duper famous suit makers to make ur suit, but some lower budgets ones can deliver just what you wanted provided u give the right instructions and be certain of the changes you need when you are doing the 2nd fitting.
cheerios....
