Jeffrey told me I need 2 spools of 10m silk for a 3-piece. So one card should be just nice.

But what if I have a 6X2 DB with swappable buttons? There are 33 buttonholes, some big, some medium, some small.

You need to hang it for a day or two on a hanger for the creases to fall out.

Are your shoulders really that wide and you waist that small? Also, the sleeves seem to me very big, but the length is OK. The trousers need to be shortened by 2-3 inches.

Chest too tight. Lots of pulling at the back.

Wrong diagnosis. Chest is never too tight. If it were, the lapels would be gaping.

Hardly as the button stance is very high. I suspect the gaping will be prominent once the button stance is lowered. He has big legs but the jacket is just too lean in the chest and waist, making the suit looks bottom heavy.

I'm not made of money.

Buttons are supposed to be sewed on using a much thicker sort of thread. But on my suits the same thread was used as the buttonholes.

Exactly. I'm going to tell MBT to use a different thread instead of my precious silk. Polyester thread should do the job.

I went to a market that sold lots of hardcore traditional stuff. A length of crepe silk hand-drawn batik is RM250. None of the patterns were compelling. It was as I've suspected -- Malaysian batik is unattractive and gaudy.

Added on February 19, 2010, 1:32 pmWell, the online shop told me they're out of navy twist. New stock at end of month.

I forgot to tell you this. This is where I bought mine.

http://www.store.jewelsinfiber.com/silk.html

Lots of colors there. There's even the Fujix Tire silk. I've bought the KNK-150

I ordered 2 cards of KNK-150 from her. We'll see if she really has any left. Navy is sold out on both the shops you posted earlier.

Wow. A matching POW PS for my tie. Cotton/linen?

By the way, Marion told me that the US importer is no longer importing the KNK-150.

Mine was shipped today. I'm sure someone else will import it.
