Here is my situation.
I went to a shop to scan my certificates and etc into pdf file so that i can apply job online.
But the problem is my file came up to 58mb but its just 25 pages long with colour.
Does the colour making the file so big?
I need it to be somewhere between 1mb-5mb so that i can upload it online easily?
Any suggestion pro's here can suggest me to do cry.gif

Use Adobe to shrink it. I think the 58MB size could be shrink to 8MB or so.

When you scan images. Make sure that you scan it in 300 dpi and low quality so that you may be able to send it via email because the lower dpi and quality will compensate for smaller file size. Referring to your question, the only method which I think is viable is to compress it into a ZIP/RAR file. Btw, I'm not suprised that 58MB is for 25 pages with colour.

Mind sharing the method do shrinking it with Adobe? After all, PDF is Adobe's proprietary format, which I doubt they'll allow shrinking. I'm using Adobe Pro 9 and I can't find any shrinking. I can't find anything to do with shriking or even compressing PDF in Adobe's help. doh.gif
