exactly, this movie is for you to shut ur brain off munch your popcorn and enjoy the explosion, chaos, fast cut and 360 slow mo turn this is what Michael Bay do best, summer fun high grossing film. want oscar worthy material go look for Nolan's, Scorsese's, Michael Mann's etc.

Bay: I had gotten movie offers and turned them down. I took my time. They sent me Saving Private Ryan, but I wouldn't have known what to do with it.

Bay: I didn't make him a star. Remember, he (Nicolas Cage) got the Oscar for Best Actor [for Leaving Las Vegas] when we were doing The Rock. Which wasn't a no-brainer. We had to do a lot of work on the script to make it more real and serious and cool.

Bay: I don't change my style for anybody. Pussies do that.

Bruckheimer: You'd like to get good reviews, but the only reason I still have an office and a parking space at Disney is our movies do well.

Bay: It got pounded by critics. It's funny with them. You are making entertainment. People get so angry about it.
